What started out as a funeral had turned into one of the largest parties Rose had seen. Those who had originally been mourning is quiet grief were now crying and laughing loudly in joy. Even small animals that would typically hide from such noise were wandering the edge of the festival, Death’s energy seeming to draw them closer. This made for a nice meal for some kukuri though, particularly Pestice as he stalked along the shadowed edge of the forest, eyes trained on an elk that had ventured too close.
