Here is the final Image that I am sending off to the printers. Photoshop actually crashed on me while I was cleaning up dust etc on the image. The whole file got corrupted. I lost about 5 hours of work... So sad. We have all been through it though. Photoshop autosave didn't work wither :(

"A monster of vaguely anthropoid outline, but with an octopus-like head whose face was a mass of feelers, a scaly, rubbery-looking body, prodigious claws on hind and fore feet, and long, narrow wings behind." - H.P. Lovecraft
It's almost startling how close this is to the book description. 10/10  Well Done! by PYRASMUS

The sense of scale and horror is astounding in this piece. It does look like pure madness-inducing terror.

incredible! I love the details on the head and all the muscles, you must have spent a lot of time on this piece!

what I also really like about this painting are the vibrant colors and the contrast between the highlights and the rest, I rarely see this on a traditional painting!

So this is an oil painting, but your photoshop crashed? What does cleaning up dust mean in this context? As you can see, I'm not an oil painter. :dummy: Congratulations on the DD nonetheless. :)

Yeah I painted it in oil and took photos of it in sections so that I could make prints of it. When taking macro shots on the camera, it picks up all the white specs and glares of light. So I had to go in and clean up each one. Took many hours!
