Description
Surprisingly, this piece wasn't as easy to "read" as i thought it would be. That's why I'm going to do what I hate doing: describing what it is about. I would like people to tell me what this is about, but I see they won't comment anyway, so I guess there is nothing to lose...
The girl is chained by a heavy heart (NOT AN APPLE!). I'm sorry if it looks like an apple to you, but I really photographed one of those rubber hearts given away by a heart health association. The meaning is that of a burdening relationship that you can't escape or have no courage to escape and you are convicted to drag it after you wherever you go. It's about "the wrong kind of love". It does no good to either one of the two who find themselves at the two ends of the chain. A heart should never be a burden.
There are two different way to "read" this picture. Depending on what side of the chain you might have found yourself (if). I have my own perspective over it, but both ways are just as legitimate. I like to always leave room for an alternative "reading".
Created while listening to Antimatter.
See it also as a part of the Neosynthesis Project Love.

All photography by me (model: Michelle), except for:

- part of the sky: included in the image pack offered by the April 2004 issue of Digital Photo Magazine (with permission to use freely as stock).
