Hello Everyone! Just wanted to let you know, that I embarked on a voyage to enter the NFT market space.
I sold three NFT's already (!!!), which makes me feel grateful and humbled, that people exist out there, who value my artwork to the point that they wish to collect it 🍁 It all - still - feels unreal to me.
I'm announcing NFT ART DROP for the first time in advance: Forest Guardian NFT is already minted and is awaiting for the auction to start - Forest Guardian is one of my favorite images I've ever created and I hope she will find a good owner.

Follow me on Foundation to stay tuned about my freshly minted artwork and live auctions - especially if you are interested in collecting my art, or if you are maybe just curious about the NFT market 🍁🍁🍁
I will be minting a couple of other artworks some time in the future - I plan to create a small, curated number of some of my all time favorite images that I've done over the years. If you have suggestions what you'd like to see minted, let me know in the comments!
tak, gas fee wszedzie jest teraz wysoki - to dlatego ze wartosc ethereum poszla w gore od marca 2021. czyli dopoki ethereum sie trzyma wysoko, to tak dlugo ceny mintowania grafik beda wysokie ^^"
Oh hell no. Why.
Well, thanks for the art so far. Unwatching now.
Hope you realize how hurtful the whole space is (specially for the non-rich) and reconsider if being part of it is the right choice.
Hi Gulril. Actually I went to this space because there was a collector contacting me, saying that he would like to own NFT's of specific artworks of mine. So I went there risk free - knowing that 3 images i'm gonna mint will be bought by him. So in the end i went there to supply the demand (hope that makes sense?) I know the area is still controversial, but internet was controversial when it first showed up, social media - also controversial, each innovation brought a lot of resistance (generation of my grand parents preferred printed press over TV, and generation of my parents preferring TV and didnt understand Internet or social media that well etc etc... we are in a time where new space is being created and yes, its vague and unregulated, but its not gonna stay long this way. Its already here, and big companies are pushing for metaverse, so if i didn't go into blockchain trading right now, it would be like shooting myself in the foot) I understand that there is a lot of risk involved - in the end my reputation is on the line - but i am willing to take that risk.
I think that argument is a lot of baloney. It has nothing to do with "new=controversial": TV wasn't like this in the beginning, neither was social media. They increasingly sucked because of monetization. Crypto, on the other hand, is a massive scam *from its very beginning*. It's making very few people money, helping a LOT of people lose theirs, and burning the energy of a mid-sized country while at it.
There's a lot of excuses anyone can tell oneself about carbon offsetting, green energy or "proof of stake" being just around the corner (it's been "just around the corner" for the last two years), but at the end of the day the development and current use of crypto is shady as hell, almost exclusively used for speculation and dependant on a shitload of energy consumption to operate. It's like the tulip madness but you have to burn an acre to plant a tulip. NFTs in particular are 95% a grift, 5% artificial scarcity. They do more harm than good to *everyone on Earth* except speculators.
But hey, I'm just some rando on the internet and I can't tell you what to do with your work. Just don't try to paint it like some inescapable shift in tech: *you* are voluntarily participating and voluntarily promoting it on your DA. That's absolutely on you. No one else.
The "risk" you are taking is just some people not feeling great about yet another artist jumping into the techbro bandwagon, unfollowing and maybe writing a rant about it. The harm it does, however, goes way further.
Here's hoping, yet again, you'll reconsider.
I understand your worries, but I believe that metaverse is going to eventually become a normal part of our lives. Its going to happen if you like it or not. Especially if you consider that we are still in Pandemic mode, and its not looking like it will ever go back to what it was before. VR chat helped me during the first lockdown, and I just cannot wait for more metaverses to be available. Most of already existing metaverses do operate on blockchain (Decentraland) , and it seems that all the new ones yet to come (the one from Unity, since they acquired WETA digital) and the one from FB (META) will also operate on blockchain. I know its not for everybody, but i actually want to see VR and metaverse to work well together, and since blockchain technology will be used - i just chose to accept it. First cars also were using a lot of gas you know. They did eventually get better, and nobody questions anyone when they buy a car, how do they feel about their environmental footprint, and nobody guilt trips them about going to petrol stations.
PS: Also, I don't know if you saw that, but DA is planning on releasing their own NFT tokenization on the site - they were sending survey to artists in order to learn what platforms artists use and what they would like to see on Devintart's version of NFT platform. So - in couple of months - I would probably be able to mint these things directly on the site.
