Decided to go back to my old painterly style. I still can't get it looking the way I want, but the cell shaded style actually took longer.
Does it bother anyone that there isn't any dialog in this story? The plot moves so quickly, and I figured that people could just project their own dialog onto the situation.

Written adaptation (ADAPTATION!) provided by :icondamselbinder: -
"Ahahaha," Echidna laughed gently. "You see how they obey their mistress, their Queen?" She spoke of the whiteish-green flowers, which continued to spew forth white streamers. Echidna seemed to exalt in their obedience, and while Gloria wasn't sure how impressed she was that Echidna could control trees, it was still far more power than Gloria herself had.

"All things will come to obey me, and if not me, then another demon. I will spread us across this entire foetid Earth, and all will know my rule." She turned her eyes down to her captive. "But right now, I'm not concerned with the entire foetid Earth. My concern is with the lovely, full-bosomed damsel who wiggles in my grip." She took one of the streamers in her hand, its sharp red nails careful not to damage the plant matter.

"Unh!" Gloria cried out, as Echidna's coils tightened once again, keeping her body helpless.
"My concern, right at this moment, is keeping you quiet."

oh no! gloria's getting squeezed!
jackmackhack Featured By Owner Jan 21, 2014
Also. Really love the sense of her being put under pressure in that bottom panel. You can just feel that lovely chasis of hers getting squeezed under those coils ;)

I like it too, but it's kind of confusing the way she's coiled in my humble opinion.

Reason being is that there is no full coil around her torso, she's only being held down from the waist down actually, it just so happens to be that this particular part of Echidna's body isn't a coil, it's just her length that is halfway around Gloria.

I loooove the idea behind it, it appears as if Gloria is more in this position…

rather than this position…

Very Nice.

yeah I don't mind the lack the dialog since I think the stuff speaks for itself. This still looks cool.

I agree with jack and co. The lack of dialogue makes it the sequence focus in on your art.

I think I prefer this style. The cel-shaded style works really well, so I can't say exactly why I prefer this. I just kind of do!

As for the picture itself, I'm loving it. Echidna looks very lordly and in control, Gloria's struggles being just as enticing as ever. I like the way you're building suspense with this new binding: very much looking forward to seeing Gloria get all wrapped up in it!

I am fine with it not having dialog, opens so many options for the imagination =)

Lovely work as usual, no, the lack of dialogue is no problem at all :)

I wonder what this stuff will be used for :D:D:D:D

And no. I kinda like there being no dialogue. puts more emphasis on the visual narrative.

I don't think the no dialogue is an issue... it lets the viewer be more creative with it and interpret in their own view.

do what you think is the best course action.

I like where this is going.

And I actually prefer the painterly style. Something about it just rubs me better than cel shading, just a personal preference. And I like the lack of dialogue. Let's my imagination run wild.
