''Stonehides'' Chief Librarian

The chapter librarian of my "Stonehides" Chapter Space Marines.

This is my very first Citadel Finecast figurine! As it was cast in resin, it had the usual resin problems: Air bubbles, and deformation due to shrinking (from being pulled out of the mold before the resin was fully cured. Understandable, given that these are mass-produced figures). So I spent some time filling in the bubbles and re-sculpting some of the lost details. Additionally, I saw fit to sculpt a big, magnificent beard on his face, as I felt it would give him a bit more character than the default sculpt (official version can be seen here: [link] ). I also gave him the optional Storm Bolter hand, and left the ornate book-holder thing off the top of his armor, opting instead to paint some panel lines.

I am very, very happy with how this one came out.
