Nyarlathotep in grey by tekelili Nyarlathotep in grey by tekelili
HP Lovecraft's Nyarlathotep. I always prefer the pharoah-ish form.

My first painting with my shiny new Wacom. It's a very, very fun toy, and considering I used awful technique on this, half of it's on one layer, amazed at it's future potential.

I expect he'll end up posted in color again soon.

This looks a bit more like a wicked queen from a sophisticated re-interpretation of Snow White or Sleeping Beauty.

The androgyny makes it quite powerful.

Tekelili, you rock my world.

Got myself a Wacom Intuos 3 a while back, and it's lovely, isn't it? Digitally speaking I'm still very much an artistic novice, but you can still achieve all sorts of things with such a lush piece of kit.

It's the most beautiful artistic tool I've ever met, besides my prismacolors. I'm in love. =D I can only describe it as being like painting with graphite, it has the fluidity of paint, but the particle by particle control of graphite, without the ability to screw up the paper tooth, which is really nice.

Wacom is a type of tablet isn't it? (I'm a little out of the loop aren't I). It looks like it work beautifully, is it easy to use?

Yeah, it's a supernice tablet, and i've found it amazingly easy to use, took right to it. Thought the translation in my brain was going to be hard, but, it only took a day to get comfortable with it, now it's getting to be just like paper.

Thanks! I've been having a lot of fun with the tablet, will have something new done soon. I'm sure I'll stick to the traditional still too, but, I'll be doing a lot more digital work as well in the future.
