Wokebrain/Progressive Tryhard: "Wait, you're attracted to someone of the opposite sex AND the same sex? -gasps- That must mean you're Gay!"
Today, I wish to toss in my two cents and expose this misconception for what it is; trite pandering.
I blame Tumblr and the Usual Suspects [*cough*Marvel, LucasFilms, IDW, CBS, Disney, puppet companies under Disney hopping on the Pride Month bandwagon*cough*] for promoting this asinine misconception. That if you're a woman who has romantic/sexual relations with men AND other women, you're automatically shipped in the same category as a man who has romantic/sexual relations with other men. When that's the furthest thing from the truth.
Contrary to what the fairytale image concocted by people with way too much free time and too much money to spend would have you believe, I'll spell it out here; if you are Gay, it means that you have a romantic attraction toward other men. It does not mean the same as you finding both men AND women attractive.
And it's a fine mess, indeed. Notes'll be a bitch to sort through, favoriting deviations is fiddly as a drunken fiddler crab playing Limbo and I've a strong feeling a good number of my friends will leave because of it.
Congratulations. You managed to make Tumblr 2 Point-Blow. I hope LucasFilms decides to take a page out of this wretched update.

1: If you could live in a video game, what would it be, and why?
Answer: I'd have to say I'm of two minds. On the one hand, I'd go with Fallout New Vegas if only because the Mojave Wasteland is such a gorgeous setting full of interesting things to do. On the other hand, I'd go with Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion because I dig Late 3rd-Era Tamriel.
2: What was your favorite costume that you wore for Halloween?
I wanted to go as an Alien Gladiator, but my stepmother made me stay inside because I didn't want to be a ghost again.

Today on FMWOT, we shall be discussing the ethics of Sir Michael Bay’s The Last Knight and its’ ties to Lucrecia Hlerp’s thesis on ‘McMuffins: Good or Bad?’.
But first, I would like to add that there is no such thing as 'Objectively Good'. Because quality in all things is subjective. What one person may call 'healthy', another person will suffer a life-threatening allergic reaction. Therefore, telling people it is good to exercise makes you literally Hitler. It is the power of math, people. Do not question product; just consume more product. And besides, the Food Pyramid is a cis white patriarchal neo-nazi sign
1) What inspired you to become a writer/artist? A steady diet of cartoons, Brian Jacques books and the need to make something I would've loved to read.
2) What motion picture soundtrack would be the soundtrack to your life? Dune's, by Toto. And no, that's not me being self-deprecating. That soundtrack is worth using for a far better movie.
3) When you look at the moon, what do you think of first? How long until it turns out to be a terrifying alien God?
4) If you had to choose, what's one food you want to learn to cook in this lifetime? I already know how to make Burritos.
5) If you had to choose, what's one dance you'd like to learn in t
At 1:31 PM, Jessie passed away. Without any pain, thankfully, but it's left most of us heartbroken.
As the title of this entry suggests, I've been thinking about going on a brief hiatus for a while. My notes are filled with far too many unfinished RPs to keep up with, I felt less inclined to post anything on DeviantArt and with the amount of online negativity buzzing around the discussion of pop culture, it made me take a good look at where I'd be spending the rest of my life. If I ever wanted to start writing professionally, I'd need to think carefully about what I post and what I watch.
My poor baby's departure only reinforced that sense
As you could tell from the title, this month has been a challenging one.
First off; the fires in my country are showing no sign of relenting. The NSW fires' smoke can be seen all the way from my neck of the woods (Eltham, Victoria), so the skies are looking very bleak.
Secondly; last week, my pet Labradoodle Jessie got out of the vet. She has a very terminal case of cancer, meaning that she spends most of the day laying on her side. We don't think she will live for much longer, and are prepared for the worst.
Third; on the schadenfreudian side of things, I'm enjoying the sh*tstorm brewing over Episode IX. I should be a lot angrier given wh
Short version; He's going to University, baby!
Long version; You may notice that I haven't really been that active on here, apart from commenting once or twice and the occasional submission. Well, that's because I've got about seven(ish) days until I start attending university full-time. Which will keep me occupied for at least two whole months (maybe more, depending on how much work's going to be on my plate). Meaning I'll most likely show up this site far less often than I used to.
Rest assured; I will TRY replying to as many Unread Notes as I can.
I apologize for the delay in replying to Notes. Next week, I'll be busy all week with a friend from Wollongong who's visiting for the holidays. Meaning my activity on this site (as well as F-List, SoFurry & Furgather) might be spottier than Tarzan's underoos.
Until then, God-Flipping-Speed.

French comic book artist Albert Uderzo, the genius that brought us Asterix and Obelix, has passed away. At the young age of 92, his wit and charm will sorely be missed.
Rest in peace, and may the sky never fall on your heads.
