The sun was warm and soothing in the summer air, reminding Ginger of his home far from where he found himself now. It caressed his golden fur lovingly as the little esk halted to evaluate where he had ended up. A wide expanse of beach stretched out way in front of him, the shoreline receding as far as he could see, sand glistening in the sunlight between the cacophony of other esk that had also been drawn to this strange place. It was a beautiful sight - Ginger could not recall the last time he saw so many of his kin anywhere other than in the Conservatory – but the strange feeling of why they were all there did cause Ginger a smidge of concern. Pulling himself back from inside his head, he began to notice the odd pockmarks across the sandy horizon; littered across the otherwise picturesque beach were a myriad of out of place items.
