Happy Halloween from Team GRAE!

GRAE V2 Ch.12, Birthday The Sun set on the second day of Team GRAE’s mission; also the day before Azure’s birthday. Apart from the very beginning, the mission was peaceful, with no Grimm attacks reported. Team GRAE heartily feasted on the birthday cake provided by the mayor’s wife. Everything was normal, as if they were in their dorm back at Beacon.
“Azure, I’m sorry I don’t have a present for you... I kinda left it back at Beacon,” Greyson admitted, rubbing an imaginary itch on the back of his neck.
“Oh, that’s fine. I’d count the necklace you got me for Christmas as two presents since it was so expensive. I’m happy just to have you here,” Azure replied genuinely.
“Aww, how cute!” Rusty loudly exclaimed. Greyson and Azure laughed. Vladimir and Ember did not.
“It’s disgusting, but it still beats having an arguing couple on the team,” Ember comme
GRAE V2 Ch.11, Scar. “I’ll fight at the front! Azure, you sit in back and fire your bow! Vladimir, shoot at the claws! Try to break the exoskeleton! Rusty, and Ember attack from each side!” Greyson commanded. He charged towards the Deathstalker’s claws fearlessly, but was knocked to the side be Vladimir’s massive crimson shield.
“What the hell was that about?” Greyson angrily yelled.
“What do you think you’re doing, ordering me around like that?” Vladimir asked arrogantly.
“I’m their leader, I give commands. You do know what a team leader does, don’t you?” Greyson retorted.
“I’m a professional. You are nothing to me,” Vladimir said.
Greyson sighed in exasperation. “Fine. My teammates will get hurt if I continue to go on with this bull--” The Deathstalker suddenly barreled forward towards Azure, knocking both Vladimir
GRAE V2 Ch.10, Village Security A week had passed since Ember’s reveal. It was the day of Team GRAE’s first mission outside of the kingdom. All four members had taken the necessary preparations, and were, both physically and emotionally, ready. Two worries still weighed on Greyson’s mind, however. Would knowing about Ember’s past affect team GRAE’s synergy? And why have the nightmares continued?
Team GRAE walked together through the light mist that sprinkled in the air. Team DARK was just to their side, ready for their mission as well. In front of one of the ships, partially concealed by the mist, was the professional hunter whom GRAE would be paired with. Greyson could not see much, aside from a tall, red figure with a slight smudge of brown at the top.
“H-hey, it looks like this is where we part ways for the next few days,” Raven stated, her team beginning to walk in the opposite direction.
“Yeah, it looks like it,” Rusty agreed.
GRAE V2 Ch. 9.5, Shadows of the Past The room was silent.
“So, when I was a little girl, I had two loving parents. My father was a huntsman and my mother a huntress. I looked up to them, They loved me, and I loved them in return, even when they bought me an ugly black beanie that was far too big. But one day, only about a week after my tenth birthday, my parents went out on a hunt, and never returned. I was home alone for two days when the policemen knocked on my door. They told me that there had been an accident.”
“I-I’m sorry...” Raven said, nearly in a whisper.
“Now, my parents loved me, but they never were social people. I had nobody to take me in. I ended up bouncing around foster homes for the next two and a half years. Lord knows how some of those people were eligible for adopting a child. Until one day, a seemingly kind older gentleman took me in. He had a son about my age, so I had someone to talk to. It was the first time I c
GRAE V2 Ch.9, Revelation Night fell. Greyson and Azure managed to hide in a back room of the Agaupt Jewelry store during the day, waiting for the eight o'clock closing time to enter the main store. Greyson and Azure could hear a pin drop in the dense, dark silence. Still, they waited. Minutes turned to hours. Greyson began to pull the scroll out of his pocket, to check on Rusty and Raven, when the front door began to clink.
The door opened, and the Bandit slapped a small device on the security system as soon as she was through the door. It was silent.
“Hey. I’ve got you surrounded,” Greyson threatened dishonestly, Holding Blitz in blade form and Nimbus in gun form, aiming both at the Bandit. Fear beat throughout Greyson’s veins as he saw the silhouette of the Bandit outlined against the silver streetlights. She was several inches shorter than Greyson, but built thin and strong. Two large daggers, just over half the size of Blitz and Nimbus, were strapped to t
GRAE V2 Ch.8, The First MissionGreyson sat on his bed, facing Azure, Rusty, Ember, and Raven. What Ember had said the night before still rang through Greyson’s head. He was not quite sure whether their conversation was a dream, or had actually happened, but there he sat, ready to eliminate one of his nightmares. Today, team GRAE would catch the Burgundy Bandit.
“Okay, everybody. Here’s the plan. There will be two pairs. One will confront the Bandit, and the other will lay in hiding. When the Bandit appears, one will confront the Bandit while the other will jump out and immobilize her,” Greyson announced.
All four others nodded. Rusty raised his hand, and Greyson called on him, like teacher and student.
“So, where exactly will the pairs go? There are at least six Jewelry shops I can think of in Vale, maybe more,” Rusty asked.
“Ember has tracked the last fifteen Burgundy Bandit robberies in the city of Vale. She’s tracked her patte
GRAE V2 Ch.7, The Night After Greyson could not sleep. Though the rest of the dance, after the confrontation with Darien, was merry, Ember, Rusty, and Raven were all still absent from the dorm room, and Greyson was unable to put his head to the pillow without experiencing vivid night terrors.
“Come on, they’re just dreams,” Greyson told himself. “Just think about back at the dance, when team JNPR broke out into that outrageous choreographed dance. That was pretty funny, huh? And Jaune in a dress!”
Yet even the vibrant, happy faces of team JNPR began to turn to twisted, evil figures.
The door handle began to jingle. Greyson reached his right arm off the side of the bed, grabbed Nimbus, and pointed it at the doorway.
The door opened, and Greyson could see a single silhouette standing in the doorway.
“Identify yourself while you still have a head to speak with,” Greyson demanded, his fi
GRAE V2 Ch.6, The Dance Greyson and Rusty arrived to the dance just on time. They waited patiently for Azure and Raven. Ember stayed true to her word, and was nowhere to be found. The door opened, and in walked Azure, her hair done in slight curls, wearing a beautiful, sparkly, sky blue and white dress with translucent white sleeves, and Raven, her hair combed to look as straight as possible, who wore a simple, yet stunning, black dress.
“She looks... beautiful,” Rusty said dreamily, watching the two girls walk through the door.
“Hm?” Greyson asked, only hearing Rusty’s last word.
“I mean, both of them do,” Rusty corrected. Greyson smiled in understanding.
“You know, it still isn't too late to ask Raven to dance, Rusty,” Greyson offered. Rusty smiled at the ground sheepishly.
Throughout the night, Azure and Greyson, as well as Rusty and Raven danced happily. Raven seemed
GRAE V2 Ch.5, An Ordinary Day Team GRAE sat in the bleachers, along with several other first year students. Team RWBY, as well as two other students Greyson had only seen a handful of times around the campus, sat just to the left of them. It was another sparring practice day, Greyson’s favorite day of any week.
“The next battler will be... Ms. Pyrrha Nikos!” Glynda Goodwitch announced to the crowd. “Are there any volunteers to be her opponent today?"
“I’ve got to get my revenge on her for beating me in the Mistral tournament last year...” Greyson stated. He raised his hand, and Glynda seemed as if she were about to call him to the arena.
“Greyson, you can’t!” Azure insisted. She pulled his arm down and put it in her lap, holding his hand with both of hers. “You need to rest, I'm sure your aura hasn't fully regenerated after that fight with Vladimir a few days ago.”
