Community emoticons: Easier to make and search than plz accounts, but are a bit more complicated to use.
I am attempting to list some TF2 community icons out of convenience, though these won't be treated exactly the same as plzes in this directory (e.g. don't count towards plz count as my watchlist counts plz accounts for me).
Still a work in progress. Currently, these aren't in the other plz lists right now except for the Dalokohs bars.
I am only listing emoticons usable by all users. (I can't see what's available to premium users anyway. From what I can guess, it looks like premium users can insert pretty much whatever they want on dA, so...yeah. Not listing everything on dA.)
Any deviant (paying or free) can insert existing community emoticons into comments, deviation descriptions, and journals.
How to use: Click "Add media" at the bottom of the comment or description box (for journals in rich editing mode, click "Emoticons" in the "Add Media" menu above the "Style" box) and then, in the sidebar, click "Emoticons," search for an icon to use, and select it. Searching returns matches by words in the icon's deviation title, the artist's username, and any tags the artist added to their deviation.
To insert icons into journals in HTML mode, you need to use the :thumb: code found on the icon's deviation page.
You can also find community icons in the deviation search via the appropriate category here, and from there find the title/artist to search by in the future as well as the thumb code and other info on the deviation page. Beware that not all the deviations that show up are usable in the Add Media: Emoticons menu, particularly images that are just too big.
Verified findable in Add Media: Emoticons and insertable by any user. Suggested search terms/phrases listed, separated by slashes. Words without slashes such as "TF2 Pyro" should be entered together (order doesn't matter)

Status:
Decreased Activity: I don't spend as much time on dA as I did previously; consequently, I don't update this directory as often as before. (Currently logging in around once a month? Interval between past few news journals: around 5 months.) Also, I recently moved to a new computer so my notes and drafts and stuff are still on the old computer.
Changes / Broken Pages: dA broke a lot of stuff while I was away for a few months, which needs to be fix

Alright, so I almost posted this journal Oct. 31 last year. For stupid reasons, this didn't happen. (The reason being that I hadn't sent out a journal in many months so I thought, eh...I'll wait two more and post this at the end of the year so I won't have to write another journal only spanning 2 months to wrap up the year, to make things neat. But then I forgot.) I'm posting this journal more or less the way I left it as a draft in October. So remember, the following details in this journal are as of the end of October 2013.

Journals/My activity
It's been a while since the last news journal. This was due to a combination of being busy with classwork and just generally not spending as much time on dA as I used to. I have been checking back and adding plzes from time to time, though I didn't manage to sit down and put together a journal until now. Moving forward, since I'm not spending as much time on dA, I will probably publish news journals less frequently than I had been doing until recently. How do I make my own Community icon Though? I have a bonnie icon that is less than 50x50 and I don't know how to make it into an emoticon! Plz help!
