Deviation Actions
Professional creators and sellers have been communicating with DeviantArt, telling us what's working, what isn't, and what would make your selling experience meaningfully better. Now many of those great ideas are ready to come to life – small changes that will make a real difference in how you create, sell, and manage your work.
Keep an eye here for updates as new features launch. ETAs are subject to change, but we'll keep this page up-to-date, so you always know what's coming. Keep checking back!
Subscription Tiers in Studio Presets
🚀 Launched on June 3
If you've published subscription tiers, you can now select them directly from the Studio presets screen. Fewer clicks means more time for art!
Studio Grid View: New Indicators
🚀 Launched on June 15
The grid view in Studio on desktop now shows indicators for scheduled deviations and deviations for sale. The same information you've had in table view is now also visible in grid view!
Submit Attachments: Better File Names
🚀 Launched on June 16
Buyers were receiving ZIP files named "Archive.zip," making it hard to keep track of what was what. Downloaded attachments will now be named "Seller Username_Deviation ID," so every purchase is easy to identify.
Multi-Image Upload Order Fix
🚀 Launched on June 19
When uploading a multi-image deviation, files were being submitted in reverse order, forcing creators to rearrange manually. Your images now upload in the order you intended.
Individual File Downloads for Exclusives and Premium Content
🚀 Launched on June 24
Previously, purchasing Exclusives or Premium Content meant downloading everything as a single ZIP. You can now download purchased files individually — especially useful on mobile, and files will keep their original names so they're easy to find and organize.
Supporter-Only Descriptions for Subscriptions and Premium Galleries
🚀 Launched on July 6
You can now make deviation descriptions visible to supporters only, a useful way to share extra context, behind-the-scenes notes, or exclusive details directly with the people who support your work.
Subscription Tier Pricing: Change Your Price After Launch
🚀 Launched on July 6
You can now update the price of a subscription tier after it's been created. Price changes apply to new subscribers only, while current subscribers continue to be billed at the rate they originally signed up for.
Update Subscription Tier Access Settings After Launch
🚀 Launched on July 6
You can now change the access settings ("1 Month Back", "All Content"...) of a subscription tier after it's been created.
Scheduled Submission Order Fix
📆 ETA: July
Scheduled deviations weren't following the order where they appeared in your gallery. This update changes that to match the order you set.
Submit Attachments: Drag-and-Drop and Order Fixes
🚀 Launched on July 21
Uploading attachments now supports drag-and-drop and multi-file uploads, and your files stay in the order you set them.
Multi-Image Deviation Improvements
📆 ETA: July
We're making the multi-image deviation experience better and less confusing. More details to come on what this refresh entails. This one's been especially on our radar thanks to feedback from comic artists.
Subscription Cancellations Retain Buyer Access Until Billing Cycle End
📆 ETA: Late July
When cancelling a subscription to a deviant's tier, you’ll retain access to their’ exclusive content until the end of your subscription period rather than losing access immediately.
Only Connect Discord Integration Once
📆 ETA: August
Subscribers will be able to connect their Discord once in their global settings, rather than reconnecting each time they subscribe to a new artist. For sellers, this also means subscribers who unsubscribe are removed from your Discord channel automatically, with no action needed on your end.
Bulk Edit Prices and Sale Status in Studio
📆 ETA: TBD
Using Studio, you can now bulk edit prices as well as starting or ending the sale of items.
