Day of the Deviant - Beatific Vision

Beatific Vision

Please fullview!

In Christian theology, the beatific vision (Latin: visio beatifica) is the ultimate direct self-communication of God to the individual person. A person possessing the beatific vision reaches, as a member of redeemed humanity in the communion of saints, perfect salvation in its entirety, i.e. heaven. The notion of vision stresses the intellectual component of salvation, though it encompasses the whole of human experience of joy, happiness coming from seeing God finally face to face and not imperfectly through faith.

This sounds like a really cool idea. :)

As I asked in a different post though, please fix the Internet bug in stash writer that keeps telling literature artusts that they can’t use any type of artwork in their literature. Sme of the artwork used is of our very own but stash writer mistakes it as belonging to other people. I understand that I can write literarure on here without having to use images, but sometimes I would prefer to use images. Some of these images being my very own drawings. So if I can’t use even my own drawings, I will be displeased. In a matter of speaking, not as a threat.

I was laughing so hard at this until I realized that that was a beak and not a set of fat lips.

Island of a Mind

I am new to contests - I submitted my piece but didn't see it in the submissions so I saw people put there entry on here so that's what I'm doing =)

Title: Island of a Mind

The categories we have allowed to put ourselves in, limits us & cages us into tunnels where our vision has blinders even once out in the world - you can hear someone speak & you still may not fully understand, but at least you listened & perhaps see why others are the way they are - why they believe what they believe - with a disagreement; can still bring beauty

A world of our creation.. why would it look different from the world we are in? Would it be less creative if we drew something that actually existed? And what if I were to base my vision of my world on a song I heard or a book I've read? Would that be including someone else's intellectual property?

beamdump's avatar

Well, if people can assert that their delusions are real, then I don't see why you can't pose reality as the subject of your fancy.

Apophis324's avatar

Hmmmm.. An interesting point. I'll give it some thought before I start work on this ^^

would it be ok if i drew myself as a ghostbuster? still thinking of something for this but have an idea

Well, this is the world I gladly would live in. Peaceful greens (and other weird stuff), cats, birds,...

There could be more animals, but i'm happy with this result!

I'm struggling with depression, so for me this is kind of pretty good that I want to live in such a wonderful, kind, peaceful, colourful world!
