The Deviousness Award is given to one deviant each month in recognition of their exemplary contributions to DeviantArt and its community and has been a long-standing tradition since DeviantArt’s early years. @SabakuNoShi is the recipient of July 2026’s Deviousness Award, so please join us in congratulating her!

Where to begin? Shi has been one of the kindest people I have met on dA, thanks to her and LukasFractalizator, I got my first ever DD, something I thought was a pipe dream. Her hard work in many fields including photos, drawing and crafts over a wide variety of works for people to look through and appreciate. When ever I had trouble or something lovely to share Shi would be there to lend her support. Her showcases bring out a massive variety of dA artists and have helped me find artists to support and appreciate. An absolute treasure to the dA community, the site would be much worse off if she wasn't here!

She's a very caring person who has lots to give. Her art comes in many forms: cartoons, miniature furniture, critters, and photography.

Describing Shi and her impact on the DeviantArt community in one or two sentences is difficult. There is so much to say.
Shi has been a deviant for 18 years now. She has 8,200 watchers. We all admire her imagination, especially regarding dust particles, each cuter than the last.
Her dioramas are created with so much talent, patience, and skill. Who doesn’t love dollhouses, tiny furniture, all done with so much love? A real delight for the eyes.
Not satisfied yet? Watch her photographs or crochet crafts. Shi posts random feature journals and suggests DDs. She’s always the first to congratulate other artists on their Seniority or Deviousness Award.

When I was told that Shi would be receiving the Deviousness Award, I was surprised she hadn't already received that accolade. Now that oversight has been righted. I am honored to join in and celebrate this award with her.
Shi eats, drinks, sleeps, and dreams art 24/7. She is the consummate artist with a heart of gold. She once sent me a book of “Dust” drawings which now has a coveted spot in my living room as a family treasure.
That’s just one of a million things that she does for this community and all the people in it day in and day out. Congrats, Shi! I can think of no one more deserving of this award than you. Kudos to you, my friend 🥀
