Ok sweet peas, there has been no trouble at all! However I happen to like groups that make their basic rules clear so here are the rules I'm running the group by.
This group is about the webcomic Teahouse. All content submitted must relate to it in a clear manner.
How often can I submit?
Submitting is limitless for all members.
What can I submit?
We accept any visual art and any form of literature. Standard disclaimers apply.
Written works should only be in English, please. If you'd wish to promote your other-language written work, you're welcome to submit its "cover art" with a link to the text. Please note that the cover art should be created by you or been commissioned by you, and be submitted to the corresponding visual art gallery. It also should follow the other rules to our visual submissions.
There are no limits to the rating of the content other than what limits DA ToS sets.
Are there any quality limits?
This far I haven't rejected any submissions for their quality, and I'd like to keep it that way. The gist of this rule is simple: a guest to our gallery should be able to enjoy all artwork and writing without effort.
Visual works: not be too light or too dark, sharp and contrast-y enough, correct rotation. Cropping should be reasonable. Clean sketches and uncoloured lineart are allowed. When photographing your work, please refrain from artsy angles and incomplete cropping.
Written works (including analysis and theories): perfection is not expected, but there should not be so many errors (vocab, grammar, or typographical) that hey distract from the text. Minimals of proper formatting are required: correct punctuation, correct capitalisation, use of paragraphs. RPG logs should be transscribed into prose.
Cosplay: all requirements for visual works apply to the photograph; for the cosplay itself, the character or outfit should be readily recognisable and the costume should look finished. Censorship of faces should be done tastefully. Consider wearing a mask or using a mannequin if you don't want to have your face shown. Costumes on hangers or mannequins are welcome.
In addition, pastiches and parodies are welcome, but must be entirely created by the deviant.
Any member can submit any number of their finest works into the Feature gallery. However, not everything will be accepted. I'll choose one or two, the rest should go to the main galleries.
Submissions to the Feature gallery are subject to a bit stricter quality check.
Addendum: our co-founder can post in the Feature gallery at will, being the personal DA account of one of the creators of Teahouse and all.
I don't find a suitable gallery to submit my work into!
Feel free to leave a message on the group front page or message me personally, and we'll sort it out.
Conduct and behavior
Don't be a dick.
Please keep shipping wars and stoking arguments out of the group grounds.
