I always liked the '70 costume. Probably because of I grew up with it, and it was such an improvement over the oversized shirt-thing.

Many and varied, from Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres to Alphonse Mucha to Michael Whelan to Adam Hughes. I'm influenced by just about every piece of art I see that I like. If you really want to know what I'm into, check out my faves. Every piece in there is influential in some way.

Besides the obvious features already commented for this picture, may I call your attention to a tiny bit of basic anatomy: In the position shown, the fingers that show up front are the thumbs, not the pinkies...

Okay, I opened her back up in Photoshop and attempted to correct the problem with her hands as best I could. It's not perfect, but at least now you can pretend that they're thumbs. Thanks for alerting me to my mistake. That's an awkward pose and I think adding the big, puffy sleeves threw me off since I could no longer see the anatomy of her arms. Regardless, I tried. :-/

Me too, although she was out of it by the time I got into comics in ernest in 1984, just in time for her to die in the Crisis on Infinite Earths. I never real led followed DC until the 2000's, with the exception of the New Teen Titans, the book I cut my comic book teeth on.

I haven't gotten there yet. Those books are on the bottom on my 500+ issue backlog of comics I've yet to read. I've only just read issue one of Flashpoint and am still working my way through War of the Green Lanterns. I'm not a huge fan of the 52 reboot stuff, on general principle (the renumbering of Action and Detective Comics is a travesty that should have never happened, seconded only by the pointless renumbering of Uncanny X-Men, leaving freakin HELLBLAZER as the world's longest-running continuously numbered comic book series. Hellblazer. From the 80's. It boggles the mind), but I'm reserving judgement of the actual characters until I read the actual books. I've got the first three issue of all the titles I care about (more than I expected, but not many) and have added Supergirl, Batgirl, Batwoman and Wonder Woman to my regular pull-list. Apparently, I have high-hopes for the ladies. If I feel motivated to draw them when I get to them in another three or four months, then maybe I'll add them to the list. My annual 4th of July Wonder Woman pic for 2012 will likely be of the new 52 version, so there's that, at least.

speaking of july, are you going to be in the artist alley at SDCC 2012?
on DC stuff, you also have the Young Justice, which got a terrific character design and very hot babes in the rooster.
Some beg to be drawn. Mary West (Wally's mom), Paula Crock (Artemis'), Queen Bee, Whisper O'Dare (not sure I got the name right. she appeared in episode "Disordered")

Regarding commissions, what are your fees? I'm prospecting for possible Q1 2012 commish to illustrate an Eclipse Phase campaign, either for interior art or cover

SDCC is too far away and a bit too big for me to work. The expenses would well outweigh the profits. I don't work conventions under my T.Catt identity anyway, so even if I were, I couldn't tell you about it. ;-)

I love the Young Justice cartoon, but I haven't been particularly inspired to draw the characters from it. If I did, I'd be Artemis, since she's the only one not directly taken from the comics (although she's very similar to both Arrowette and Speedy II). I'm perpetually behind in my TV watching, so I haven't seen the episode you're talking about yet.

Unfortunately, I don't normally take private commissions (outside of conventions). I have neither the time nor the inclination to do so. This piece, and the one that will follow, were special exceptions set up as rewards for buying me premium membership here. If you're looking for actual commercial illustration then you should email me directly [link] and I'll put you in contact with my professional identity. Thanks!

I wish I could afford hiring you professionally (for a graphic novel, to be exact), but it's likely light years above what I could pay.

That said, I would recommend taking a look at Posthumans Studios, they're always looking for talented artists for their game books.
