17K ViewsDis tank makes the loudest boom!
Here's my coloured ork tank, finally finished, a behemoth completed in the light of the early mornin. Of course here its Friday night and only 10 to 10 pm and there's plenty of time for a beer or two or five.
Yet again I find myself crippled by what I know of photoshop and the idea that I can squeeze more out of every pic. I find myself fighting down to the level of mere pixels, so I think its time to go on a grander scale, or at the very least, build big and then shrink to small.
any constructive help would be greatly appreciated.

Though in game terms it doesn't match up to the baneblade, this beast certainly puts da humies' to shame!
The flame pattern on the big gun is great, it's almost ''tribal'' looking and the proud looking crew are certainly characterful. If i've got one bad thing to say about it, then it's the background... The sky's abit too pretty and the landscape does seem to drop off to nothing, but considering the tank is so dominant in the picture, I don't think it detracts too much from it's 'ard appearance.

oooh I am not a fan of the colours I used. Well, I like the yellow and how it pops out the detail of the wagon, but yeah, going for the whole "finally finished building the frigging thing on schedule but at sunrise" idea just made it look too frigging cutsey for my taste.
You should check out the other coloured version of this pic, its excellent

Man, this is truely epic. I can't even imagine how much effort went into this.
Great texture rendering as always, all the tiniest details are read well.
The only thing that I'd tweek in this, would be contrast. The pic hasn't much shadows/highlights, and since you chose soft, even pastel colors, in order to make the tank "pop out" I would've added more contrast.
Aside from that, gorgeous piece of Orky machinery))

with the horrible battle of contrast and leaving the lineart's detail intact, I went for the detail.
I think a big part of that decision was seeing the other colour render of this pic and rebelling from it a bit.
Pastel colours indeed! I really do tend to go for those, it seems. I think its how I render the light areas on my pics, I end up using lighter, fainter colours to show light source instead of using just as saturated but different colours, which would be a better idea.
That and going for the 'final completion in the early mornin' ' look gives me a blue-purple-pink sky, pastels all the way
