The Battle of Xylin, Part One
We all knew the Angelus Sub-sector, not much in that area, it was the border between the Emperor's forces, and the Tau...little did I know that it would be a battleground. More specifically, the planet that had once been contested for, once before. Xylin. It hung near the Tau and Imperial border, there were peace talks to keep Angelus Sub-Sector as a zone of neutrality, but they had ultimatly failed. Though the Tau and us Humans, had shared diplomatic and sovreign encounters before, there was still distrust on both sides. Things especially heated up that day, when my fleet had come across a real fire-brand, Commander Me'yen Lar'Shi'vre...or as his people refer to him as 'Unforeseen Protector', I even tried to talk him into a cease fire, it didin't work, he hated me with a passion...blew half of my original armada of eight ships....into little over three left.
