Group Info

Professional Tattoo Artists and Apprentices.

A DA group for Professional Tattoo Artists to share art for critiques, info on resources (sketchbooks, reviews, art supplies, etc), events, etc.

Being that it's a group for professionals, not a lot of need for them.
Posting pics in the proper category is cool and just a bit of mutual respect should do.

Note: Because I've been asked a few times to clarify what I mean by "professional" here a) work in a studio, shop, professional setting (i.e. your kitchen/bathroom sink isn't your studio sink, you use dental bibs instead of tea towels, p/leather furniture not fabric couches, your floor, not carpetted...and your business card, it probably has a street address on it) b) you do this for a living/main source of income and not as a hobby or 2nd, 3rd source of income, c) how long you've been tattooing, quality...not a consideration here (leave that one for clients) .
If you're a tattoo artist working in a professional environment, please join, add your work and contribute as you like.
If not, you're welcome to add the group to watch and check out the work in the galleries.

Save the drama for your momma.

Looking for an artist to design two realism tattoos, must have experience with fire and hands. Will get the tattoos within a few months after finished product, and willing to pay commission for someone to draw the final designs that I can take to a tattooist.

...shouldn't your chosen tattoo artist be able to do a killer design for you? :-)

sup guys...

i have one question for artists out there...

i have already done a tattoo and i would need some tips for doing another one but connected with that one, so you won't have to draw anything, just to tell me your ideas if possible..

i wont waste too much time

Practice drawing, first of all basics, like shading, rendering, perspective, composition, etc.
Maybe take some drawing classes -it helps a lot :-)
Also study colour technique.
Build up an awesome portfolio (maybe make multiple ones you could leave with the shops you apply for), then find out which place you want to learn from, and just go for it with all the tenacity you can muster :-)
