PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT vol.2
All original characters depicted in my art were created by me and are my intellectual property, unless they are my friend's character, in which case the copyrights obviously belong to said friend.
Point is, you are not allowed to take these portraits and use them for your own original characters just because they may look similar, not even if you give credit and link back to the original image. This is non negotiable. No means no, respect that.
Also, you are not allowed to use my characters in your role play, in any capacity or form. They already have their own backstories and their own worlds that I have created for them; they can not - and will not - become a part of yours, ever.
Doing any of the above is a violation of copyright laws and, frankly, a really disrespectful thing to do to someone’s OCs, regardless of your intentions or inexperience in the matter.
Simply put, you just do not do shit like that, period.
If you want a portrait of your OC, commission an artist for it, or draw one yourself. Stealing art doesn’t make it about your OC in any way, it just makes you a thief.
Imagination is the foundation of role play. If you don’t have enough of it to create your own characters and have to resort to stealing someone else’s OCs then do not role play. Simple as that.
It’s quite worrisome that any of the above needs to be explicitly said and yet... here we are.
