HOT, and great detail in the hair how long did it take you.

Again, nicely done. :D

I'm curious, where did you get your source material? You said that CBS won't give you any photos, so was this before the series came out on DVD? :)

Thanks for your comment. Yeah, CBS did not supply any photos, which I thought was odd seeing as how they wanted good likenesses. They probably figured that there were plenty of photos online at various sites, and that anyone trying out to get the pencilling job on the Charmed book could just go find some. The only thing I was a bit anxious about was how the girls should look as far as hair styles. I found more photos of Alyssa with long hair online so that was the direction I went, although if I had watched the last couple shows of season eight I would have seen that her hair was not quite that long. Alyssa was the only one who had different looks throughout the run of the show, Holly and Rose were pretty consistant with their looks.

I had a similar type of pencilling job on a Star Trek the Next Generation book I pencilled back in the mid nineties. Paramount Studios supplied a ton of photo reference which was great, it gave a very solid foundation for how the characters should look.

I've got to say it. LOVE your work, but wish the colourist would leave some of your original lines alone!

Yeah, I wanted to thank you for scolding Zenescope for not getting me to San Diego where they had a special "Charmed" panel which I was not a part of. Someone sent me a link where someone had filmed the entire panel and had put it up on YouTube. Someone in the audience asked about me and they just said I couldn't be there, but there was no effort whatsoever in trying to get me there. I'll admit, I was looking for a free ride to San Diego.

The thing I don't understand is that as the lead artist for the series, you deserved it! Maybe they'll give you a free trip to Toronto? You should definitely "ask"...

I could go on and on about this, it's really annoying, and I don't want to bore you with my frustrations. I also agree with you about the coloring; he's got way too much of an impact on the final art. I don't like that he's taking drawings that look pretty much like the characters and sort of changing them to where they don't look like them anymore. A likeness is a really delicate thing at times, and taking a line or form in a different direction has an impact on the final likeness. Simplicity is the key, and I feel like he's rendering with the color a bit too much at times. There are times when the coloring looks really nice, so what can I do? This is the last time I'll complain!

Actually, you know me. I'm a teacher, but a horrible art teacher, so I find the "process" fascinating. Plus, I wouldn't have said anything unless I was upset that the original pencils were getting ruined. For a layman, I'm finding there's too much. It looks like finger painting. The colourist needs to take a page from Peter Steigerwald or Nei Ruffino, after taking some inking lessons from Scott Williams. These artists have all added to their pencillers' originals, not detracted. I'll keep buying and reading in support of you and the story, but I'm wishing I could see cleaner work. Your venting is understandable!

Hey thanks. I was actually really happy with them when I did them, so it was doubly rewarding to get the job becasue of them.

Allyssa is the toughest to draw. I still haven't quite figured out how best to draw her so that it looks like her every time.

im sure you'll figure it out (:
