Chapter 17 - The Heir of Slytherin
finally got round to painting this one! I love this chapter; I can remember exactly where I was when I read for the first time (on a ferry going to visit my gran) and I was terrified!

You go, girl! A good portion of your paintings, while they have motion, are more of a "static moment" - someone may be gesturing or walking, but it's still a more quiet moment. This, you really captured the momentous courage of Harry as he battled the basilisk. It's the...I don't know the art term for it, but, for example, the way Harry's robes are to the side a bit, showing that he's moving, and the depth you captured; the sword pointing toward it, Fawkes, the snake, and further on back with Riddle, Ginny, and the statue. This is gorgeous. Hope my comment made sense lol.
it definitely made sense, thank you! I've been practising motion poses a lot lately, like more action style poses. In the past I've chosen a lot of the scenes specifically because they're not full of motion or action (cos it's difficult!) but i'm up for the challenge these days
