Commission for :iconaidan-gull:
My friend, our trusty seagull and geologist. I wanted to make at least one design that celebrated this marvelous man and his knowledge of rocks and minerals. To me, a faithful collector and hobbiest, it's a WONDER to hear someone in this expertise of the science behind my sparkly little trinkets.

Featured here, reminiscent of the traditional Royal Bird Crests; the crown is replaced with the mining hardhat, and the weapons with the traditional tools of the trade of mining. The crest bear 4 diamonds [jewels/crystals]. Admittedly, I'm not sure why 4, or why i selected to make 3 small and the fourth large- I think this was something intuitive on my behalf that Aidan later clarified that indeed, he has 4 family members.
The shield itself is divided into deep earth [mines- the red], green grass embedded with silver and gold, and water [blue].

I've missed a lot, but this is somewhat good timing! I'm doing readings from a geology book to catch up with the "geo" part of geochemistry, and then I see this!

Absolutely amazing work! ^V^

It's no coincidence... geology brings so many together. The beauty of gorgeous stones and minerals!

Once again, I cannot thank you enough for doing this up.  It is simply amazing.  Your stuff never fails to blow me away, and the thought you put into its making is incredible.  ^v^

Thank YOU! I am so pleased when I get to work on commission that are equally the fun content and client satisfaction. :)
