General Rules

Tark'ee are a closed species, this means that you cannot make your own (with special events excluded). You can obtain your own Tark'ee to train and breed by:
- Adopting from the Adoption Center
- Buying from the Marketplace
- (rarely) Find a wild one to catch and tame.
- Trading with other Tark'ee owners
- Breeding

All personalities, names and descriptions of your Tark'ee must be PG-13. Literature and art, or external publications, are able to be above this rating, but must have a mature filter applied.
All art, literature and journals submitted to the group must be relevant to Tark'ee.

Once you own a Tark'ee, you are able to:
-  Roleplay with them here or elsewhere
- Write stories involving them
- Gain art
- Anthro them
- Give them personalities
- Breed them
- Kill them
- Sell, trade, or give them away
However, you must have reference to the Tark'ee closed species group somewhere.

You are NOT able to:
- Change their design
- Upload their import / reference sheet to external sites other than DeviantArt

Who owns the designs?

You do.
If you have been gifted a Tark'ee, bought, adopted, or otherwise acquired a design 'legally' and ethically, then it is yours to do with as you want.
You may not, however, sell the species. As the Tark'ee species is owned by ClarityWind and not by you. You may kill off your Tark'ee, then apply the design to another character or species, so long as it does not too closely resemble the Tark'ee, or be the Tark'ee under a different name.
You must only sell Tark'ee to people inside the deviantart group - or if selling to someone not in the group, ask them to join.

Please respect this. Anyone found in violation of these rules are subject to being banned from the group, and any further group that the admins so desire.

Art Rules

Artwork
- You may submit art of your Tark'ee to the group that you didn't do (fan art, commissions, etc) however, you MUST credit the original artist – where possible, submit their original piece to the group galleries; do not re-upload yourself.
- Always credit your sources and references - this includes pose references and the original Tark'ee profiles.
- Do not reference from another artists work - using the same reference is fine.
- You may use 'bases' or other linearts, however this will not earn your Tark'ee experience, and will not earn you any Silver.
- NSFW (Not Safe For Work) artwork is allowed. However all such work needs to have a Mature Filter applied.
          - Illegal or 'excessive' artwork will not be accepted into the group. The definition of 'excessive' is up to the moderators and administrators discretion.
          - If there are two or more Tark'ee and they are owned by two or more persons, every owner must agree and consent to their Tark'ee being portrayed in such a manner.

Literature
- Do not plagiarise. Plagiarism is a serious offense.
         - Do not copy/paste work from other sources, such as published work, fanfictions, online sources, etc. All work must be your own.
- NSFW (Not Safe For Work) artwork is allowed. However all such work needs to have a Mature Filter applied.
          - Illegal or 'excessive' literature will not be accepted into the group. The definition of 'excessive' is up to the moderators and administrators discretion.
          - If there are two or more Tark'ee and they are owned by two or more persons, every owner must agree and consent to their Tark'ee being portrayed in such a manner.

Sales Etiquette and Rules

Tark'ee sold from one player to another player should be fully disclosed with the potential buyer before they commit.
           - Ensure they know how many breeding they have had, how many are left, the age status, and known birth defects, etc.
           - Ensure the potential owner knows any deals regarding breeding slots or whatever - do not mess around many people, otherwise you risk being banned.
Keep in mind that if you sell a Tark'ee (for Silver, points, art, etc) which was given to you as a gift is not against the rules, but may annoy the person who gifted you the Tark'ee.
You may not sell or resell another person's Tark'ee breeding slot. Please think carefully before you buy a breeding slot.
If possible, take screenshots or link to all conversations/comments of all transactions between yourself and another player – this will allow moderators to more easily track what assets belong to whom and allow us to update the relevant information in a more efficient and precise manner.

Breeding Etiquette and Rules

Keep in mind that Tark'ee have limited lifetime breedings (Males 15, Females 10).
Make sure that all person's involved in the breeding (Sire and Dam owner, clutch receiver, etc) are all knowledgeable with the breeding agreements.
Do not post a breeding request before your Tark'ee have reached the appropriate conditions. All Tark'ee need to be Level 3 before they can breed.
Untamed Tark'ee cannot breed.

Disclaimer

The Tark'ee group reserves the right to discontinue service at any point in time, with or without notice.
All Tark'ee are in some way owned by the group, and not able to be distributed to the wider public.
Tark'ee, designs and characters which are owned by banned users or deactivated accounts may be reclaimed by the group to be resold or redistributed in some other way to the other members of the group.
The only exception to this rule are Tark'ee, designs and characters bought with 'real world' currency. These will never be reclaimed by the group.

Harassment

Be courteous to other Tark'ee owners. Art/literature/journals/comments/etc created with the aim to hurt another person is not allowed. Be nice to one another and have fun with your Tark'ee!
Report anyone who is acting inappropriately to the group where the mods will try to work out the issue.
Harassment in the group is not tolerated. Players seen harassing others are at risk of having their account permanently banned from the group.

*One of the eggs cave under Zeenith's weight, spilling chocolaty yolk everywhere. Yum. Goop between the toes...*
