Tark'ee have a wide range of stats and abilities which they can learn and train in in order to improve their efficiency in battle, when put to work, or even their carrying capacity!
Stats, and some abilities, are inheritable through breeding. Offspring stats are influenced by their parents stats at the time of their conception.
Training Tark'ee, and allocating stat points as they level  up, will allow your Tark'ee to become stronger throughout the generations. For decent stat distribution, breedings should be carefully selected.

Stats

Levelling Up
As your Tark'ee progresses through the levels, they will be awarded points which you may allocate to whichever stats you want them to train in.
As they increase in level, they will gain additional stat points - this will increase with certain levels.
To submit level up requests, and see the perks of levelling up, please refer to this guide.

Health
Health is the life force of the Tark'ee. The higher their health the more strain and injuries they can take before their performance starts to become affected.
If a Tark'ee's health reaches 0, they are unconscious and need to be rescued and/or revived. Once the Tark'ee has been taken back to the city, they will be out of action until their health returns to full - the nurses will NOT allow Tark'ee to leave even one point below full health.
If a Tark'ee is attacked while on zero health, they risk death.

Strength
Strength governs the base damage your Tark'ee can do with melee attacks. It also affects the maximum carrying capacity of your Tark'ee.

Intelligence
Intelligence governs the base damage your Tark'ee can do with magical attacks, as well as holding influence in areas such as puzzle solving ability.

Dexterity
Dexterity measures reflexes, balance and agility. This stat is important for attacking with throwing weapons - as well as contributing to the chances of your Tark'ee dodging an incoming attack.

Defense
Defense is the physical toughness of your Tark'ee - their resistance to physical (and some magical) attacks. The higher your Tark'ees defense, the more damage their body can sustain before it starts to affect their health. Defense abilities range from a toughened hide which is hard to penetrate or an active blocking of attacks.

Fertility
All Tark'ee have a ranked fertility score, which can be tested genetically.
Fertility is an inherited trait - all wild caught and first generation Tark'ee have 'Average' fertility.
A high fertility score means that a Tark'ee has greater capacity for more offspring per clutch, and is less likely to abort the pregnancy.
A lower fertility score means that a Tark'ee has a greater chance for aborted pregnancies, smaller clutch sizes, and a greater risk of mutations being passed to their offspring.

A hatchlings fertility is influenced by both parents - however the survivability of a hatchling is fully dependent on the mother.

Stat Inheritance

The inheritance of stats is dependent on the parental stats.
((Father Stat / 2) + Mother Stat) / 3 = offspring average stat.
+/- 20%

Example:
Father has a Defense of 15, Mother has a Defense of 10.
15/2 = 7.5
7.5 + 10 = 17.5
17.5 / 3 = 5 +/- 1

Example:
Father has a Strength of 20, Mother has a Strength of 30.
20/2 = 10
10 + 30 = 40
40 / 3 = 13 +/- 3

Abilities

W.I.P.

There are a range of known abilities which a Tark'ee can inherit through random mutation (Birth Ability) or through intense training (Learned Ability).
Birth Abilities are extremely rare genetic mutations. Tark'ee which have inherited a Birth Ability are often infertile or have extremely low fertility.
Learned Abilities may start at Level 6. At this level, Tark'ee will have a semi-random roll of 3 different Abilities that they may learn based on their species, stats and journey in Dondir.
You will then be able to choose ONE of these minor abilities. This choice is permanent and is unable to be changed later. Decide carefully for what is best for you, or best for your Tark'ee.

Abilities which are learnt cost a huge amount of time investment through training and resources, and even then it's not guaranteed that your Tark'ee will be good at using the ability. Some Tark'ee which have dedicated themselves to learning Abilities only manage to get a small grasp on the concept, whilst others become Masters in their chosen ability. It is possibly for Tark'ee to teach other Tark'ee how to use their abilities, and so a group of Tark'ee can help one another develop a stronger affinity for their Abilities.

Minor Abilities
These abilities are often spoken and so are summoned in the Tark'ee mouth. This gives them the effect of a 'breath' ability.
Ember - Your Tark'ee has the ability to spit small fireballs at their opponent. Additional 5 damage if depicted being used. 10% chance to burn.
Spark - Your Tark'ee has the ability to create a small spark directed at their opponent. Additional 5 damage if depicted being used. 10% chance to give paralysis.
Bubble - Your Tark'ee has the ability to spit a series of large, semi-poisonous bubbles at their opponent. Additional 5 damage if depicted being used. 10% chance to cause blindness.
Pebble - Your Tark'ee has the ability to spit small rocks at their opponent. Additional 5 damage if depicted being used. 10% chance to inflict additional 5 damage.
Breeze - Your Tark'ee has the ability to summon a sizable breeze directed at their opponent. Additional 5 damage if depicted being used. 10% chance to reduce the enemy dodge rate.

Question(s):
1) If one has leveled up enough to get minor abliities- how do we go about adding to said Tarkee?

2) If one is a certain species of tarkee (ex;Wave) can they learn Spark or Pebble? (something outside their typing; ex. Bubble)

*I was using spark as an example- why would you put electric in an often water covered tarkee's mouth? ouo*

Abilities are a major work in progress. Currently there are Minor Abilities listed here: Abilities and Stats
However there's no current way to train for them. This will be available in the near-ish future as it is relevant to the future of the group.

Yes. All Tark'ee of all species can learn all Minor Abilities without discrimination. Major abilities will have pre-requisits, however these are unavailable just yet.

Could be more of a minor spark, like a stunning effect? Like electric eels.

That is correct :)
In the first section of this guide "Leveling Up", there is a link to submit level up requests:
"To submit level up requests, and see the perks of levelling up, please refer to this guide."

There, you'll see "Requesting a Level Up", and you may enter your level requested, and how you'll like to allocate Crast's earned stat points :)

Yep :) You use trackers as your proof.
I'll need to remove all those comments from Crast soon, since we've moved to a tracker format instead.
