Gates-of-Graffiti by TarJakArt Gates-of-Graffiti by TarJakArt
I was part of a tour run by Sydney Trains, of the abandoned underground railway tunnels near St James Station in Sydney. These were part of a planned but never finished expansion of the City Circle and extend under Hyde Park and Macquarie St as far as Shakespeares Square outside the Mitchell Library. The tour was very interesting and I was really excited to see a part of Sydney which not many other people ever get to see. The sourthern tunnels were used as an air raid shelter during WWII and at the end of the northern tunnel is a lake that extends for about 1km and gets up to 5m deep at the far end.  Apparently some people in the 1980's used this part of the tunnels for some kind of pagan worship.

Canon EOS 500D with Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM wide open and using -2 stop exposure comp ISO 800 with on board flash unit.
