Darl didn't get his trademark "Leafs" shirt right away. When he first arrived in the Rock, he went naked like other Fraggles. Unlike other Fraggles, he was self-conscious about it until Kiki found him this worn wrap.

I'm personally reminded of a few older pieces with Kjola in poncho-style drapery. I always thought it was a better, freer look, on the whole, than the traditional close-fitting quasi-metallic outfit. Ditto here over the jersey, I think. Also interesting to see a shading technique outside (or rather in addition to) the ink stroke crosshatching.
I was never comfortable with cross-hatching -- it tends to create "blobs" when I do it.
I might be using the wrong precise term, then. I mean the characteristic parallel shading done with a ballpoint, I suppose, rather anything done with perpendicular lines. If there's an actual concise name for that.
Didn't her wears a hockey jersey?
That came a little later, after being there a full year -- the story was told in the second bit of fan fiction I wrote about Fraggle Rock.
One I'm still waiting to read it.
In this case its more like a Mexican serape and there isn't the variety of form or pattern that Kjola ponchos have. Also, it was more of a stop-gap in Darl's case.
