This seemed to be the best way of logging my thoughts about Fraggle appearance and lifestyles.  I'm preparing another with Kiki that should be finished tomorrow.

Taral - please stay alive and well.

I intend to stay well even if I have to never leave my apartment again... which is beginning to seem more likely anyway.

If anybody, language notwithstanding, can understand a fraggle, then they must have a kind of "Translation Matrux". This spell in my tales, converts the target's speech into your language, and your speech into his. Essential for wizards/witches everywhere ...

It would seem so, though another explanation that I've had is that Fragglish is the same as Gaminish, a tongue that predates later human speech, and it ancestral to them all.  In the case of Gaminish, once learned it drives knowledge of less comprehensive speech out of your mind ... so that you can't communicate with other humans any more.  You have to learn to speak English, French, German or whatever all over again.  The catch is that the effort to learn inefficient Human languages will drive Gaminish out of your mind, so its a Catch 22 situation -- one that drove a certain linguist out of his mind in a story I never wrote.

Indeed, you once told me that. I had the story idea that Casper reformatted his brain to understand both languages at the same time, just as he mastered Egyptian, hoping to establish a deep philosophical communion bet humans & gamins - only to find that what gamins talk about is not worth translating ! (from an aside you gave me.)Casper does NOT always win.,,

At least they don't look like socks with tennis balls attached to them.

I think Darl was already beginning to -change before he met Kiki.

Darl and Kiki met in Outer Space, where Kiki became lost and was recognized as a Fraggle by Darl (whose original name is not Darl, either.)  The very short version of the story is that Darl became lost himself, in Fraggle Rock, but was unable to go either back or forward and might have simply perished in between ... even with Kiki's help.  There was a key magical moment to make the transition that I have been unwilling to reveal until I'm good and ready -- when the other stories are written.

I MAY have divined how Darl was changed, but I will keep my own counsel. If I guess at what you plan and babble it about, I do you no good service,

I don;t have much energy these days and bursts of such are oft followed by fallow spells. I found myself unable, unmotivated to proceed with my CasperXfraggle crossover and ,frankly, I no longer care.

In my tales,an organization called "Genesynthesis" was behind the scenes in why some of my characters are not true humans. They have created humanoids from roos, rats, skunks, dogs, rabbits, elephants, cattle and later otters, beavers, cats,... (Some have not become set characters, as I can only drive just so many at once, and that was before I stopped cartooning.).

BUT they can not make fraggles or house gamin, as they only have science not magic. Somewhere I refer to a story that exists only as a fan-fic ref, "The Scritching in the Walls". A character may be spotted reading the tale. They can also be spotted reading comic book ideas of mine that also never became viable.

Magic in Silly Creatureland was a given that I couldn't change.  My earlier work, on House Gamins were magical to a degree... but they were the only features in "the real" world that were.  And before that I had created strictly science fictional beings without any magic at all ... just super-science.  (But if that isn't magic, what it?)

Magic is science not properly understood. I have magic in my bedroom.
Let the Hogwarts students look & learn.

These 2 anatomy charts are of use to Casper who can shape himself to look fragglish, BUT the size problem remains. You stated that he'd not be able to adjust his size for some reason. I adopted that concept.

The nostrils are alien.
But, then again, you have a knack of weirding readers out.

We must investigate this "Biluvious" further!

In situ, of course.  No fair removing them.
