The Experiment part 6"Embrace the future," Dr. Raygold said as he opened the door and motioned for me to enter. I went inside and found myself in an elevator. It was a little larger than normal and it had yellow walls. I looks like one of those elevator's you'd find in skyscrapers. There was also a clothes rack inside.
On it was jeans, a grey hoodie, suglasses, a pair of boots, a scarf, gloves, and next to it was a full backpack. Inside the backpack, were travelling supplies, extra clothes, food, and a few hundred bucks. This could get me going for whatever awaits me. The elevator door closes and I dress up in my new clothes.
They conceals most of my fur, but it makes me look like I'm prepared for an Arctic expedition. Last time I checked it was in the middle of summer. Well, at least it's better than being myself right now. I hope it's somewhere quiet and secret. I don't want to end up in Washington D.C.
When the elevator stops and the doors open, my hopes start to die. I'm in some business building. Ther
The Experiment part 5I wake up again, and my head hurts. Is this going to be a normal thing, blacking out? I press my hand on my forhead, but it doesn't feel right. Then as I open my eyes, I gasp in amazement. My hands are covered in orange fur. There are black stripes on them as well, but they are in the same shape as they always been. My nails are longer and pointed. The fur goes all the way up my arms, and they are slimmer than usuall. This time I'm wearing a light blue shirt and black shorts.
My legs surprize me next. Not only are they covered in fur as well, but they are shaped like the hind legs of a cat. I stand up, realizing what they may have done to me. The room I'm in is another white, windowless room. This time there is a full body mirror. I take a look and the surprizes don't end.
My head is shaped like a cat's. I have wiskers and white fur around my nose and mouth. My eyes are almond-shaped and surrounded by black fur. Both my iris and pupal of each eye are enlarged. They are also a golden co
The Experiment part 4Dr. Raygold presses his hand upon a blank part of the wall and the door opens. "Peter," Raygold says with a smile, "Your life is about to change for the better." Shocked I say, "You called me Peter, and not Subject 2-50." He nods and I see something in his eyes betrayes the cold, calculing look he had. He actually believes that what he's doing is for the better of the world.
Then it all disappears and the scientist I first met returns. It gets me thinking about him. It sounds crazy, but I can tell he is determined, and willing to sacrifice anything for his beliefs. He shows me the way inside and I see a plain, white room, except here, there is a strange device that lookes like a high-tech coffin.
The door shuts behind us and Dr. Raygold opens the device. He instructs me to enter and I do. He fastens the straps and a sudden thought of Captain America pops up in my head. This device looks just like that one device Captain America used to gain all his strength. So is the same type of thin
The Experiment part 3Groaning, I get up. I'm still in the dome, and it looks as plain as it ever did. How am I supposed to survive this stupid test. Any one of these doors could be the safe exit, but which one? I walk towards a random door and then something clicks and the door opens. I look down to see that each door opens using pressure plates.
Maybe there is a patturn in the plates. The door closes and I step on the next plate. I walk on each of the pressure plates looking for something unusual. After about fifty plates or so, I find one. The Pressure plate clicks, but the door in front of it doesn't open. This must be the exit. I walk towards the door, but it still remains closed. How do I open this door? I wonder. I place my hand on it, but my hand goes through. This door is a hologram.
I step inside and, to my amazement, I see a highly decorated room. There's a nice red carpet and multiple paintings on the walls. In the middle is a nicely polished wooden table with a chair on each side. On the table
The Experiment part 2Groaning, I wake up again. Then I remember what happened just now. I look around, but it is not the same room I was in before. This room is lit up, but I don't see the source. Again there is a single door and no windows. This time I'm not strapped to anything, just alone in an empty room. I feel different, but I don't look different. I go try the door, but there is no handle or lock.
"Good, your awake," Dr. Raygold says. He's not here, I'm guessing that there is some hidden speaker. Dr. Raygold continues, "So far you are surviving longer than the other experiments, Subject 2-50. Your enhancement has yet to take full hold though. We will be monitering your progress." Angry, I yell, "My name is Peter, and I don't want to be part of your silly experiments!"
Laughter echos in the room. "I'm afraid you don't have a choice," says Raygold, "There is only one way out, and to get there, you have to cooperate." What's with these guys? Then the door opens on its own. "Cooperate, and you get your
The ExperimentI lay on some ice cold metal platform. I open my eyes and the light is blinding. Why didn't my alarm go off. I reach for it, but I can't move my arms. I try to get up, but again I can't move. What's going on? My eyes adjust and see that I'm in a white room with floresent lights. It reminds me of a hospital room without the emergency equipment. I don't see any windows, but I do see a door directly in front of me. I notice that I'm completely strapped down, so that means I'm not paralysed. Where am I and Why am I here? I hear footsteps just outside the door, and the doornob turns. In comes a man in his forties. He has black hair with a hint of grey. His brown eyes showing no emotion. He's wearing a white lab coat and carries a black suitcase. "Hello Subject 2-50," the man says, "I am Dr. Raygold, and I am here to help humanity." What, I try to speak, but my mouth is as dry as sand. Dr. Raygold continues, "Now I understand how confusing this is for you. One minute your sleeping in your ni
