Heart Lure

These cold blooded creatures lie motionless on the ocean floor, usually on small mounts with rocks scattered around. They can go on for months with little food thanks to their feeding method. Using specialised muscles, they can force out a sac containing their heart out of their mouth. The pulse of the organ catches the attention of small predators with excellent hearing. When they get close enough to the Kardiadelear's mouth, the motionless creature suddenly retracts the head back into its abdomen and lunges its jaws forward. Its long sharp teeth snap shut on the animals which is then torn apart by swift movements of the Kardiadelear's head from side to side.

Kardiadelear belongs to a newfound branch of animals on planet Adam that is not related to the "fish" (such as Krokotonos) or the fully limbed creatures (such as Cherimorfazor). The discovery of this creature served as a reminder that animals of planet Adam and Eve will eventually require classification, although staff shortage is slowing down the process.

She eyes me like a Pisces when I am weak
I've been locked inside your heart-shaped box for a week
I was drawn into your magnet tar pit trap

That strategy looks pretty risky. Why not just have a fake heart that contracts, without supplying oxygen (or the equivalent) and nutrients around the body?

Well there's a lot of things science said was impossible but then we found them.

I'm not saying it's impossible, just highly implausible. There are very few truly impossible things in biology.
