Organists are named after the hollow tubes that cover their back and make several different sounds when air passes through them. They are fairly large herbivores, about the size of a Water Buffalo, although many times louder. Like most organisms on Planet Eve, Organists are distant descendants of shellfish like organisms. Their mouths are designed like nutcrackers, made to crush their food flat. A second mouth made entirely of muscle further down their throat "slurps up" the edible matter, while everything else is thrown up.
When threatened by predators, Organists will stand on their hind legs and blow a large sound from their backs to make themselves look more intimidating. They are not very territorial: when two males meet, they do not fight at all, not even during mating season. It must be that these peaceful grazers are using each other to detect food sources and predators. It's likely they will evolve into herd animals supporting each other. This one is pleasantly walking through a forest in the southern hemisphere of the planet, where the greatest majority of plant life is found. The rest of the world is virtually desert.
When I started this drawing I realized that Planet Eve lived up to its name to become a very feminine like planet, full of pink, purple, sand, beaches, stones and beautiful skies. I suppose this world really is dedicated to all the girls who have and will help me out in life. What would we be without em? Thanks girls!
