A great shot, coupled with the good use of available light. Understanding this pure basic foundation sets you up to control the scene as you see it. Pottery Man by `tanya-n makes a perfect example. Do well to learn from it.

Pottery Man

Description

Hebron, West Bank/Occupied Territories, Israel
September 2009

There's something I love about this image.. the light, the fact I randomly stumbled across this roadside pottery place, the calmness of the man, the Arabic plates on the wall.. together it defines the ironic serenity of a place that is known for its instability and violence.

More to come in my blog whenever I get the chance to edit all my pictures :)
