www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWXsGp… Alden Tyrell - "What Your Eyes Can Do"

Cleveland Comic Con is a month away, and so begins that fevered phase as I dash to complete the project.  The second skin is on, the parts of the head are carved.  I just have to get the detail pieces for the body cut and carved, then start covering the suit.  Given how long it took to skin Baragon (about a month), I'm down to the wire and will probably be hand-sewing subassemblies over lunches and breaks at work.

Minor tweaks will include the removal of one ring in the neck due to excessive slack and some adjustments to the wrists.  I do wish the head could tip down a little further, but I guess I'll just have to alter my stance and remember to look down so Zinogre isn't gazing off into the ceiling.

"So begins yet another Cosplay Deadline Death March.  We'll be covering this, along with more mundane events, in future episodes of Clevelander Saga's dramatic twenty-ninth season.  Tune in tomorrow morning at 6AM..."

Yeah, once I recover from working myself into a collapse.  Don't worry, it just means that the suit will be ready for the summer/fall local con circuit.

That's understandable. We all need breaks now and then to prevent burnout or collapse.

Ah, so this is Zinogre.  :) Nice job! I had to commission someone to make mine since I lack the skill, knowledge and tools to make something this cool.  So do you go to conventions and stuff?

Thank you. Most of the tools aren’t hard to come by, though. The big challenge is being able to go from mental image to paper to 3D object, the rest is just a ton of repetitive grunt work.

Yes, I try to make it to local circuit stuff and the region’s Wizard World Comic Con (17 days away). I would do G-Fest this year, but instead I’m planning out an Empire Builder vacation.

The dash to completion results in long absences from DeviantART and being out of the loop...

Yeah, and I've never had the ability to draw. My mind just doesn't work that way. I can describe with words and picture things in my head, but I don't understand how you form things with lines and scribbles.

I would also need space to work which unfortunately I'm really lacking right now. I have no place to create a workshop even if I wanted to.

Well, good luck with your projects. Stay in touch.

Yeah, my project has a habit of expanding to fill every useful surface in the apartment and rendered the second bedroom impassable due to accumulated foam bales and boxes of fabric.
