EDIT// Changed a few things. //EDIT

[Commissions are OPEN]

Very belated prize for ~SheFightsTheSky of ~SniperJedi's Jett, from *Darqx's contest a hundred years ago. :D

I hope you like it, Sky and Jedi! Sorry it took forever and a half...
[I took some liberties with his outfit... I hope you don't mind. >>]

Fleeting Insight: It's embarrassingly clear that I lack all layout/composition skills necessary for this trade.

:faint: I'm just... entierly bowled over! I... I practically fell out of my chair! I'm so glad I shared my prizes, Sniper will LOVE this. Well, I think he does, he is more 'contained' than I am apparently.

I'm just amazed, and almost upset I didn't take this prize all for myself. I don't think it looks stiff, I can easily see several combinations of moves following this one, its just like a screen capture in the middle of a fight is all. I'm still about to look into comissioning you right this minute!

Hahahah now THAT'S a nice reaction! xDD

I'm really glad you like it. <33 :aww:

Wow, Jett looks awsome. It makes me want to work on the story some more. It's been on the backburnner for so long, it's hard to get back into it.

I'm glad you like it! :)

I know how that can be... Old projects can be so hard to revive. x:

Hey, nice to see you upload new stuff! :)

It's really nice renderwise but I am very curious about the pose. What is its purpose?

At first I thought something strange was going on with the eye closes to the viewer but the I noticed the somewhat angry expression, though might be worth pointing it out anyway. I refer to how pointy the upper eyelock (is that what it's called? :P) seems to be.

Again very nice and clean. Keep it up! :D

My time is pretty much divided up into 85% Animation [FFFFFFFF], 10% drawing, and 5% sleeping. I wish I had more time to do uploadable stuff but... Well. You know. You've been in my shoes. P:

Thanks for all the great feedback! I love getting these kinds of comments. :)

I'll agree the pose looks awkward and stiff. Somewhere between the thumbnail sketch and the lineart I unfortunately managed to lose the sense of movement I had going. Even more unfortunately I didn't fully realize this until I uploaded it. [Looking at one thing for too long, you know.]
To answer your question, anyhow, the pose was supposed to depict the character's... Well, character. He's a pretty active, take-matters-into-your-own-hands kinda guy, so I wanted a kind of proactive pose, where he's springing headfirst into action.
Unfortunately, like I said, I failed a bit.

I'm not 100% sure about what you are on about the eyelid [is that what we're talking about? xDD]. Are you referring to the fact that it's kind of triangular [in which case that'd just be my goddamned anime habits kicking in agan, haha] or something else? :P

And thanks alot. n ___n

Keep up the hard work. It will reward you in the end.

I am looking forward seeing your finished animation. ^^

Yeah, been there done that. That's why I don't like to work too long on things.

Okey, now I understand. Unfortunately though I thought he was going to do a backflip. :P

Ah yes, I meant eyelid. Haha, stoopid me. xD
Yes, the triangulation was my point.
Well habits can't be removed, only replaced... said Dr Phil anyway. Not that I listen to him but it sounded kinda logical to me anyway. :P

I would love to see you do something more classical. Perhaps get into painting? :O
If not, if you feel your work take too long to complete, perhaps get into a more rougher and efficient style. Personally I like rough stuff as much as I do super refined thingies. As long as the important elements are there it works more than well.

Glad you like the stuff I'm writing. Keep up the good work! :D

The clothing texture is way cool. Think the hair needed as much movement as portrayed by the flying belt, or maybe the belt needed less, or maybe he just got out of the shower. Either way :) Nice skin toning!

I think you're absolutely right about the hair. That was pretty careless of me.
Now I look back I realize the overall movement came out pretty stiff and awkward... Ah. I live and learn.

Thank you. <33

Only slightly stiff, only really noticeable because of the way the background is, think if you had some motion lines or something happening in the background as part of the background it would just look like freeze frame (which you have to do with inconspicuous red ninjas being inconspicuous otherwise they're too inconspicuous to notice ;)) and thus not still and awkward.

Darqx and I were admiring this yesterday and discussing how good you were btw :P Living and learning is good, I like living and learning ;)

Hahahahahaha xDD
These poor inconspicuous red ninjas do have their share of serious problems, don't they.

Motion lines could help. I didn't even think about that...
I'll try that out tomorrow night and see if it helps. Thanks for the tip. :)

Well shit, guys. Way to make me blush and all. xDD;
Thanks alot for that.
