My name is Greg and I'm a freelance cartographer based in the UK.

Like many mapmakers, I came into cartography through a D&D group and just got carried away from there. I love envisaging a world through maps; using them to capture the nuances and vibes of a places whether real or fantasy.

If you like my work and are interested in commissioning me, feel free to drop me an email at

Also, please check out my Patreon page which I run with Dan Hasenbos ( Each month we create new maps perfect for RPG adventures from countries and continents, to cities and towns, to caves and dungeons!

The City of Heldor
This one took a fair while to make, but I'm happy with how it turned out in the end.

Heldor has ~1000 inhabitants, with mostly Spanish-type buildings alongside some newer Islamic ones. The city is situated alongside one of the main trading rivers, the Yaquir, as well as having the Empire Road running directly through it.

A recently constructed bridge spans the Yaquir, opening up further trade routes. With this, a small fort was also constructed to help protect the people and traders of the city.
Caves of the Mind Flayer
Drip, drip, drip.

That sound. That constant sound. You journeyed into this labyrinth of caves what feels like days ago and it sucked you into its dark clutches.

Drip, drip, drip.

Water. It's got to be water surely? You saw a series of streams a while ago. It must be just damp in the cave. Perhaps dripping off one of those, nasty looking mushrooms?

Drip, drip, drip.

It sounds closer somehow. You wave your torch around in the dark. Nothing. Just rocks.

Drip, drip, drip.

Closer again. You stumble backwards dropping your torch. You fall what must be ten feet or more. Your torch still on a ledge above.

Drip, drip, drip.

You feel it now. There on the ledge, a cloaked figure and where the face should be, all you see is a mass of squirming tentacles. In a blink, the figure is gone. You scramble backwards in the dark.

Drip, drip, drip.

Right in your ear...

Strike the Earth
In a deep mine, a minecart hurtles around a perilous track.

Hell's Throne
Your head feels as if it's about to implode. The heat, the immense pressure, the sheer thought that this place exists.

You know it's deep somewhere, but where could be like this? Through the fiery haze, you make out a path ahead. Cavernous rooms seem disappear on either side of you. Ahead there are giant gates leading to a bridge and a huge set of doors.

As you look, they seem to call to you and slowly one of them swings open. There is a huge chair there, larger than any you've ever seen, carved from bone and stone. Suddenly, you realise, this is not just a chair, this is a throne. The ground shakes. It shakes again. And again. The King is coming...
