COTT -- Cutesy Minimalism by tamerofhorses COTT -- Cutesy Minimalism by tamerofhorses
FULLVIEW PLEASE. It looks clearer and cleaner that way.

I generally hate drawing disgustingly cutesy things, but this was fun to do. I don't like how the eyes came out though, so I'll keep in mind not to use the Fill Path function next time. The lineart was originally gold, but it looked much better when it was changed to black. And yes, I know Jay is a) too small; b) looks like he's floating in mid-air. Clearly, I lacked Prometheus' forethought while I was drawing this.

My original intent was to make a 'Class of the Titans' wallpaper for my computer desktop. If you'd like to use it for some odd reason, you can download it here (1024x768 only, sorry). Though I don't know why you would, please DO NOT RE-DISTRIBUTE IT. If you want to show someone else the desktop, please direct them HERE first. Thank you.

I strongly dislike having fourth paragraphs, so here's a fifth one with no real content.

'Class of the Titans' (c) Studio B, Nelvana, and Teletoon.

EDIT: So -- a somewhat modified version of this picture will actually be appearing in the Season Two episode titled 'Applet of Discord' :D Lineart and more information at this post on the director's blog!

EDIT2: Forgot to add that there's now a coloured copy of the image as it will appear on the Season Two episode :)

Congradulations on this drawing being in one of the new seasons episodes. That's really quite an acomplishment. I'll watch out for it once the episode premieres!

*grins* Floating Jay! Actually, I didn't notice that until I read your comments afterwards, and then it made me laugh. They do look like plushies, though...I'll be laughing if they ever come out with COTT plushies and they look like this. :star:

Thanks :) And don't worry, I actually think I failed to notice that Jay was floating as well until well after I'd finished colouring everything in.

As for plushies, I actually almost titled this one 'Plushies' or something, though it would have been kind of misleading. I may make a plushie for fun in the future, since I do have quite a bit of sewing material left over from Reading Week this year. That'll be fun (and a potential trainwreck, since I can't sew).

*laughs* Well, that's half the fun. I can't sew either, but that didn't stop me from giving an art project puppet a three-piece suit. (Which, after it occured to me to look up a pattern, actually turned out quite well.) Hm... Actually, I think it would be fun to use these for a base. If I can find some fabric somewhere.

Reading week gives you sewing material? Not quite sure how that works, unless you did one like my elementary school did where you added a frabric feather and/or other marker thing for every book recorded.

Regarding Reading Week -- no, I just decided to go to a Fabricland over the one week holiday, buy some scrap supplies, and then try sewing something based on the Basic Plushie shape that I found on deviantART. Universities generally don't give out goodies, unless you count chemistry lab stuff (which probably aren't the best for sewing) ;)

Heh, you've definitely done better than me with actually trying to find patterns. I just made mine up for my plushie, and I could never get pants that worked. And if you do make plushies, that would be pretty neat. I'll probably try it myself if I ever go home during the summer and can pick-up my remaining scraps and supplies.

*facepalm* Oh, *that* reading week. Somehow, it always makes me think of books. And I agree--Chem lab stuff is never good for anything but explosives which, albeit amusing, would not be good for plushies.

Well, I'm lucky. My mother used to do a *lot* of sewing, so I just took her patterns, scaled them down and used those. But we're pretty low on fabric, so I'd have to find some... Maybe I can cut up some old t-shirts or something.

Thanks, and thanks for the :+fav: :) You know, I know think the plushie thing even came to mind until after I finished it, which is quite odd. Guess I'm just not very observant overall, heh.
