Mononoke Hime

Tribute to one of my favorite animated films of all time, Princess Mononoke by Hayao Miyazaki. 

Seeing this film when I was young played a huge part in inspiring to follow art as a career. I wanted to tell stories in the unique, amazing way he does. I know I do a lot of fanart of Princess Mononoke, and it really is because it has inspired me my whole life. I wanted to try to capture the spirit  I see in the movie; the purity coupled with rage, the face and mask imagery, and the absence of a clear good or evil.
