I needed to update the ol' journal for all my fans. Both of you. Not a lot of news to add. I have been working with a European comic company/creator for the past few months. I've had a few spot illustrations to do for another company. So work has kept me busy but the holidays tapped me out financially. So I am open for commissions again!Comic Book Projects: My rates are $40 per page for pencils, $60 for pencils with inks, and $80 for pencils, inks, and colors. However, I am always up for negotiation, especially if it is a super-cool project that I have always wanted to do.Single Commissions: Commissions start at $20 for Single Character, p...

So summer is here and although my family is hard at work planning weekend trips, day trips, shopping trips, and trips to the pool (all without consulting me) things are finally busy at the art table. I had some recent problems with my drawing hand which really slowed down work. But things are getting better now (I hope) so it is back to work. Actually, things have gotten busier on the computer since I have recently jumped into digital illustration. It all came about when my old computer finally crashed. When I bought a new computer, I upgraded to the new Windows. Unfortunately, it wasn't compatable with my old Wacom tablet that I had been ...

So the holidays are almost upon us and a new year is right around the corner. Time to do a journal update! The team over at Jolly Rogue Studios has been working steady to get Issue 5 of the second volume of Sky Pirates of Valendor out on time. I finished the pencils on it last week (give or take a day). Production on the final issue of this story arc will start up in February so maybe by the beginning of summer, the entire second series will be available.Meanwhile, I have a little downtime so I am making progress on my own book. I am expanding the western submission I did way back for the now defunct ZUDA website. I have Rod Hannah working...

I'm starting a revival of Cartoon Sushi from MTV. Let me know what animated shorts you would like to see in an episode.https://archive.org/details/@dydee_soule

Hi, I am looking to get a piece commissioned. The piece I have in mine, it's in my head and I can't draw at all! I see James Howlett/Logan/Wolverine in a clearing in a forest. He has his bomber jacket on, he is smiling down at a little girl with curly blonde  hair. He is twirling her around on his finger, making her dress blow in the breeze, and she is smiling like crazy with love in her eyes.

I want this piece in memory of my dad, who passed away last month. I always saw him as my Wolverine. He was a bad ass, didn't take shit from anyone, never really liked the crowd, funny in a mean, sarcastic way, but sweet when he wanted to be. He was a good father, husband, friend, and Papa, and I miss him so, so much. He is forever my Wolverine, and I'm forever his little girl.

If you could email me if you do commissioned work, I would really appreciate it.

Sort of like this, but not this shitty!
Hi! Thanks for the message. So sorry to hear about your father. My deepest condolences. Yes, I do commissions and would be happy to do this for you. For something like this, I charge $80 for black and white or $125 for color. I can do it digitally and send you a digital file or I can do it traditionally with pen and ink or watercolors and copic markers and mail you the original art. You can email me at brian_brinlee@yahoo.com
Thanks!
I love your drawings! keep up the good work!:)
Wonderful work!
