At the dawn of the next morning, the half-orc was already gone. The sheep were flat at rest on the grass, mastiffs were dispersing, each to its place. It had been a long, tranquil night, and the new sun ruled the skies in blue solitude. Tedus stood up, his had been the last shift, and he whistled his fears away, already expecting breakfast. Edra was raising up to prepare it: porridge, as usual, with some honey she had long acquired from uncooperative bees. Elly was still sleeping in the hut. Alone, it was easy to dream this herd was his, that the mastiffs were his dogs and that they all were a small family living a simple life, up there in the mountains, far from any trouble. Inside the dark hut, the boys and the foreman had a humble dinner. There was, in the end, no favoritism: oats and salt pork for everyone, straight from the rations. The whole affair went slowly, with the boys, human and trasgrin, huddling by the fire while their half-orc overseer stood sang drinking songs, spicy and family unfriendly with a surprisingly nice voice. Outside, the mule was sleeping already, as did all diurnal creatures. Once Mr Furbag got tired of his singing, he set the boys to bed. "You two, sleep." The order was impossible to obey. It was irrational to consider, but, neither Elly nor Tedus could dispel totally the idea that the man would have them killed during the night. A trio of wide eyed bachelors charged rampantly through the chutes connecting the makeshift pens, shying away from Bramble’s pinned ears as they ran past his pen. Alecto barked out an order at them to keep moving. Alecto and Bramble had been fortunate enough to warrant a private pen, allowing Bramble to heal without too much interference. Springtime brought with it warmer weather and higher spirits within Sreten’s herd. Their stocky grullo lead stallion, Sreten, was certainly feeling his oats in the springtime sun. He pranced to and fro, tossing his mane through the air. Two of his mares, Aspen and Sierra, kindly watched him show off and met him with friendly grins as they grazed peacefully side by side. The first of which was scrawny and looked to have some sort of fungal infection from the recent floods marring his coat. Description

This is IEC's official tack for dressage competitions. Horses must be either boarded or in residence at IEC to use this tack.

Substitutions or removals of individual pieces of tack may be removed to suit the needs of each horse. The only pieces of tack that may not be removed are the saddle pad and training boots. These not only display the IEC colors, but also help to reduce the amount of ankle and tendon injuries during showing or training.

Tack modeled by FHF Illoria's Stranger, a.k.a. Izzie. He's not training under saddle yet, but we're trying to get him used to the tack ahead of time!
