Elijah (mine)
Tristan Ennerstone as the Flying Spaghetti Monster - Saoradh
N0110 XFS Wink Wonk (pictured yawning) - Saoradh

Detailed Story:

Elijah entered the tent warily. Tristan had been moody since he'd been cursed, often falling into fits of rage without warning. It was best to tread carefully around the man.. the beast. They were already at war with the Illorians, they didn't need to fight among themselves, too.

Scanning the map in front of him, he slid a rectangular block into place at the base of the mountains. Just that day they'd taken the holding from the enemy, pinning them in place against the formidable mountains and slaughtering them without mercy. The soldiers were to wary for mercy, they wanted a means to an end. They wanted to go home, Elijah did too. None of them would get that chance until Tristan was returned to his rightful state.

"Their numbers are dwindling, sir." Hiding a brief smirk, he toppled a triangular piece. Two more holds to over take, then they were free to advance to the kingdom itself. Elijah's frown returned. There was still the matter of crossing the river to comprehend, but Tristan's next words didn't give him the time.

"Rally the troops," his warped voice spoke. "We'll leave before dawn." In his haste to announce their departure, one of Tristan's noodly appendages whipped through the air, nearly slapping Elijah's face. It took much self control not to go off on the irritable man.

"Yes, Sire," he replied through gritted teeth. The only thing relieving the tension in the tent was the sound of the King's horse yawning loudly outside.

The Baron Returns in Strength

CHAPTER XXI. The Baron Returns in Strength The murderous Baron Potzroy and his men return to New Vorga and go at once to the burial pits, where the villain himself descends. He descends alone. The men without began their vigil. “I don't understand,” Gunter said, “why does he enter a burial pit?” “It is best not to ask those questions,” Sable told him. “Know only that he is about his own business. He is our leader and he knows best in these things.” “It is such a lonesome frightening place. I would not go down there for anything.” “Keep your tongue still. You are a pretty one, but only with your mouth closed.” We know already what Potzroy saw on his long walk down the spiral ramp below, dear reader, for we have already told of Trost making the journey before. There were still cobwebs and the scurrying of rodents, there were still decaying stones and unburied coffins stacked in shelves, and there was still a restless fearful feeling in plenty. New Birmingham City, State of New Birmingham “Come for the beaches, stay for our AI future” Martin was paddling on his surfski, away from the world. His craft; he'd have told you all about it; was a very specific kind of kayak, made to ride the swell, as fast as dreams go. That day the wind was gone, the sea calm. That was perfect on its own way, so the boy could focus on perfection, a tranquil struggle to make the most of each paddle stroke, to make music on the air, to reach the sublime from simple forms. Rrrrrr–shhh, Anne, his coach, was approaching to his right, the outboard engine purring. ‘Left arm, must keep you high.’, the boy thought. Martin was expecting Anne to find some flaw in his paddling, in truth there's always some flaw. But, sometimes, it's better to leave a young rider, a

The herd hadn’t noticed that they had snuck off yet. Shade had heard some strange sounds with her over long ears and it hadn’t been too difficult for Cho to talk Mage into joining them to go investigate. Today’s designated watchers of the foals has their hooves full with an argument between some of the older foals, though really most of them were almost grown as it was so calling them foals felt a little wrong. But if the rumors were to be believed, the trio of younger foals soon wouldn’t be the youngest in the herd. All three of them were excited for that. More playmates sounded like a wonderful idea. And it meant that Kesare, Rauder, Eldvidri, Talmynd and Andstaeda were all busy talking and making plans for their upcoming foals rather than keeping a more direct eye on Mage, Shade, and Cho. A handful of the others were off scouting the area and patrolling, so all in all it wasn’t too much trouble for them to sneak away with the added distraction of the older horse’s

Felagi wasn’t sure where she was anymore. The bachelor that had chased her away from the herd was less than forthcoming, but at least he had stopped nipping at her legs to keep her moving. Apparently he thought they had gone far enough to be safe from the retaliation of the herd. He was wrong of course, but he didn’t need to know that. Not yet. Felagi snorted at the stallion, sides streaked with sweat and still breathing heavy, “What exactly do you think you have accomplished? Other than some light exercise?” The bay stallion looked offended, “Stolen you? Obviously? We’ve stood around long enough, drink some water or don’t. We need to keep moving.” So he did know they hadn’t gotten far enough then. A pity. “Right. You keep on believing that little delusion you’ve got there then I guess.” Felagi rolled her eyes and dipped her head to drink from the creek they had stopped near.  What do you mean by–”  “Get away from her!” Helheim didn’t talk a whole lot, but Felagi had always liked

It was pretty clear that Tal and Andstæða had something on their mind. And equally clear that neither younger mare were sure how to approach whatever the topic was with Kesare, though they had been the ones to invite her along on this little adventure. Andstæða and Kesare were carrying a watermelon each, Salvator had scouted and found that there were two other herds not too far away from where the herd had taken up residence for the time being. They had made their way a bit farther south than usual, so it wasn’t too surprising that they were having more run-ins with bachelors and other herds than when they were in the foothills proper. Perhaps that’s what they wanted to talk about? They would tell her eventually, she just had to wait for them to be ready. And carry a watermelon to give to the next horse they stumbled across. She did wish the day wasn’t quite so humid though.  The sun was high in the sky, and an early morning shower had been long forgotten except for the fuel it had

Already, the sun stood high in the sky, as Nyroc, Flinn and Leota traversed the open grassland. Wishing there was some way to keep cool, the cream-colored Bachelor leader panted. Summer wouldn't be far off, and he worried about both himself and the two other light-colored studs who made up his current band. It wasn't as though they wouldn't survive, but sunburns were enough of a hassle for himself; trying to imagine keeping three tawny horses from overheating, burning, and otherwise being incredibly unhappy throughout the whole summer was a thought he would rather not entertain. Not to mention, spring and summer were the most plentiful seasons, so why should he want to be overly-worried during the best parts of the year? It wasn't fair, by any stretch of the imagination. Snorting, Nyroc realized that Flynn and Leota had stopped, suddenly. Whipping his head about, the silver amber champagne stallion searched for the reason that his band stopped so abruptly. His question was quickly

Long Time, No See

The last of the desperate scramble were starting to settle down now, Fish could tell. His sides heaved in and out, struggling for breath, but somehow he managed to keep on going until he escaped the reach of the researchers trying desperately to split the stampede and round up the stragglers. He was tired, but not stupid. He wouldn't go. He did, however, have to quit eventually, and when he did, he finally looked around without the red haze of panic coating every action, each thought reduced to animal panic as he fought even just to keep his footing without tripping to a worse fate than this. What he realized was quick, and unfortunate, coming in three parts: one, he had no idea where he was. Two, he had no idea how to get back. And three, worst of all... he couldn't see a single member of his herd. Figures. Oryx was watching the horizon. Dust clouds. Wondering what it could be, the buckskin horse turned his attention to his herdmates, seeing that they were busy grooming, napping, or

Welcome Home, Gael

Oryx’s ears twitched, as the desert winds blew around him, kicking up dust. He snorted, and shook his head. The wild buckskin stallion was about to end his shift watching the herd. Primrose and Amber were chatting, grooming each other in the shade of a nearby baobab tree. How strange it looked, almost as though it had been planted upside down, thought Oryx to himself, as he glanced at the two young yearlings. They were getting bigger now, almost two years old in Amber’s case, and a year in Primrose’s. But that would be none of Oryx’s business, he told himself. The buckskin tended to keep to himself, and tried not to get too involved in the mares’ business. Cylva had called him out on it - he found little interest in mares, and he was still rankled that she’d seen through him so easily. But perhaps she had more than met the eye as well. She was getting older too, almost six now. They all were, to be frank. The herd was growing, and that was good, but it meant that he had

The first snowfall of the season brought a mixture of emotions to Sreten’s herd. Some were grateful for the shelter and food provided by the two-leggeds during this time. Whilst still others were apprehensive and eager to be on their way once more. Sreten, for one, was not at all bothered by their extended stay. They had food, water, and shelter. And they were protected from predators and bachelors alike. Gemini, on the other hoof, griped that the stocky grullo was too apathetic in regards to their dire situation.  Their endless bickering had sent poor Libra into labor early, the maiden chestnut mare giving birth to two healthy, albeit small, foals. A filly and a colt. Ginger, the filly, was an adorable red dun tobiano with the same lip marking as her grandsire Ajax. She reminded Libra and Gemini fondly of the roan stallion very much. The colt, Codigo, was equally striking. He sported a dark bay dun coat with flashes of white stripes throughout. Sreten was over the moon with his new

The opposing stallions stood face to face, sides heaving, hair matted with sweat and blood. For a while they just stood glaring at each other, neither stallion was willing to make the first move. Sreten grew bored of this standing and staring. He’d never had the patience for this kind of behavior. “You’ve already lost,” he spat out, “Just give it up already.” He looked around, gesturing to the forest surrounding them. Aspen was gone, there was no longer any need for hostility. But the mottled and mangy brown and white bachelor looked as if he’d disagree. His jaw worked hard and his eyes focused somewhere on the ground before him. But just as he opened his mouth to respond, he shut it. Obviously he had thought better of whatever pathetic comment he was about to say. With a huff he turned and headed off in the opposite direction away from the herd. With that matter settled Sreten too headed off back to his own herd. The grullo roan appaloosa stallion had suffered a few scratches

“Pick up the pace little man,” Ardere called over his shoulder to his young cousin, Rodrick. A muffled grunt and the sound of hooves beating rapidly against sage and stone was young Rodrick’s only reply. It wasn’t often that Ardere allowed the younger colt to tag along on his adventures, but today the bay dun Appaloosa yearling had felt unusually generous. But only on the condition that Rodrick keep up, and not slow him down. “What’s the big hurry anyways, cousin,” Rodrick grumbled, finally catching up to the much larger Ardere. “This,” Ardere pointed with his velvety nose towards a spot beyond the hazy green sage brush, “Is what the big hurry is, Rodrick.” Rodrick’s eyes went wide with utter amazement at the scene laid out before them. Far out on the prairie two battle scarred stallions sparred, dancing to and fro whilst landing hit after hit. The colts were mesmerized by this deadly dance.  “What are they fighting over,” Rodrick whispered as Ardere shushed him and pushed him

EBC: They Get Around

I might look young But I've been here since they first laid the tracks Powerless. It was a feeling that had resurfaced time and time again over the course of the years, followed by a burst of anger and a need to do something, anything, to make amends and turn things true and right. She wanted to gut the entirety of her home empire, destroy it in the same way the wardens had turned Fire and Air to nothing more than ash and dust. It was a furnace that burned so brightly in her chest that she felt as if she were standing before the fires of the forge Slate worked. Every time she exhaled the burning fury would rise higher and higher until she felt as if she were suffocating. Maybe she was. This wasn’t a feeling she wanted, so she continued walking until the anger at Shabeel and the mountains faded and she felt hollow. The walk had been long, arduous, something that gave a finality to her feelings. Bodies left unburied. Snow dusted the plains, it’d get higher the further north she

They set out early. Two other, older, more experienced felines on their heels. Vex idly wondered if Ferox or Astrea knew what they were getting into. As each day passed, the jaguar hybrid found that she had far too much time to think. They crossed Ice’s territory after the first day and a half and entered into the roguelands… and while most of the cats on the patrol likely would’ve reported it was without issue, Vex was starting to deal with a pain she couldn’t ignore when walking. It was most assuredly being caused by the distinct overuse of the limb, but in the back of her mind she couldn’t help but feel it was some kind of retribution for whatever damage they were about to cause on the way to Lightning Empire. This was so stupid! Who, in their right mind, would want to go all the way out here just to cause damage to another set of cats? She couldn’t rightfully believe that any cat wanted to spend five days or more trekking through this much land just to get into a fight and walk

This distortion of space was quickly confirmed by those accompanying them. “This room is built specifically to accommodate Giant creatures.” Victress Vale explained, going by the information she was privy to while co-organising this year’s media convention. “Most rooms and buildings are already designed with that in mind, given the truly great sizes dragons could grow, but sometimes extra space is needed to accommodate big guests, especially in large numbers.” There is indeed a great crowd present.
