VandrerenTribe

Basics

Name: Elizabeth Annette Landvik
Nickname: No current Nicknames
Gender: Female
Age: 28
Sexual Orientation: Heteroflexible
Rank: Serf (seer)
Vandreren Born/Newcomer: Vandreren Born

Appearance

Height: 5'7
Weight: 128 lbs
Notable Traits: Elizabeth has dozens of scars littered over her body. Some are from her nervous habit of picking at her skin. Others are from being bullied for not believing in the Gods when she was younger. The worst ones are across her back, a gift from her mother who thought enough punishment would lead to belief. It did not. Elizabeth keeps as many of these scars covered as possible, though some show on her neck and hands.
Voice Reference: Arwen (Liv Tyler) - LotR
Theme Song: Empire of Angels by Thomas Bergersen

Relations / History

Father: Elton Landvik (deceased)
Relationship: Elizabeth and her father weren't overly close, but she was never afraid to ask him for advice or sit quietly with him. He was one of very few people not to ridicule her for her lack of belief in the Gods. When anyone commented on it in his presence, he would simply say "Each of us finds belief in our own way. Let her find hers in peace." and that would be that. It brought Elizabeth great inner peace the first time she heard those words.
Mother: Lidja Landvik (deceased)
Relationship: Unlike Elton, Lidja hated her daughter with a firey passion. So long as Elizabeth turned from the straight and narrow, refusing to accept belief in the Gods, she was no daughter of hers. Often times, when Lidja found out Elizabeth had done something to go against the ways of the Gods, she would punish her daughter by either beating her or banishing from their home for the night. Though Elizabeth resented her for those actions, it allowed her to develop physical and mental strength, along with survival skills. These same skills allowed her to survive when the tribe was attacked and demolished by outsiders.
Children: Elaine Novak (deceased)
Relationship: Elaine had been orphaned when her parents were killed hunting a large, fearsome bear. Along with her parents, two of the families' tokotas were slain as well. When it became apparent that the girl's parents weren't going to return, Elizabeth took her in. For three years she loved and cared for Elaine like she was her naturalborn daughter. Like so many others, though, Elain did not survive the attack on their tribe. She died at only 7 years old. Elizabeth still grieves for her.

Personality

F2U - Terminal Arrow Black Bullet Bordered Reserved. Elizabeth keeps to herself, preferring the company of books and maps to that of other people. She spends her days working on perfecting her tea brewing skills, studying the paths and positions of stars, and maintaining an up to date record of which wildlife is residing where during any given season or year.
F2U - Terminal Arrow Black Bullet Bordered Scholarly. Many of the tribe's younger adults are keen on battle or the blood of the hunt, but Elizabeth wouldn't touch those with a poison tipped spear. She knows how to handle a knife, of course, but she values history, technology, and overall knowledge much more than brutal killings and the glory of a bloody victory.
F2U - Terminal Arrow Black Bullet Bordered Open-minded. From homosexuality to magic to altering tradition, Elizabeth is always willing to hear people out before passing judgement on them. Her history of being abused and ridiculed for having alternate beliefs has made this permanet trait for her.
F2U - Terminal Arrow Black Bullet Bordered Tentative Believer. Since childhood Elizabeth has never believed in the Gods the rest of her tribe seemed to blindly put their faith in. She's always had the opinion that it was foolish to put your fate in the hands of a stranger with thousands of people to look at, when you could just as easily take care of it yourself. After the fall of the tribe, though, she was desperate. She had lost her parents, a girl she considered her daughter, her home, safety, and nearly all of her posessions, Elizabeth needed something to cling to. As she made her way through the forest to their new camp, she got separated from the group and went deeper into the woods than intended. Even though she knew the area well, the real thing was different than a map and much harder to find a path in. Just when she thought all hope was lost, Elizabeth prayed silently for a sign of which way to go. Not a minute later, a great blue bolt of lightening pierced the sky and struck a dead tree to her left, illuminating a barely visible path. Elizabeth isn't certain, and she can't prove it by any means, but it seemed in the moment that one of the Gods had been listening after all.
