That was most of catnaps livelong day for a long time. a day of nothing but sleep, only to awake for the sole purpose of putting his friends to sleep at the end of another critter-ific day. The resentment and the fact that he barely knew his own acquaintances drove him to try to trap them in their dreams. Rose Garden Ranch 2025 HARPG Show

Welcome one, welcome all! This November, Rose Garden Ranch is hosting a HARPG show for the VERY FIRST time! There are 4 categories: Classic dressage, Show jumping, Flat racing and Combined driving Each participant may only enter up to 4 horses, but each of those horses can enter any amount of categories. All horse breeds are welcome, this includes real life breeds, player made breeds and crossbreeds. Artwork requirements: -Must create an individual piece for each participating horse. This means the same piece cannot be used to enter multiple horses. -However, you may use multiple horses in the same piece, but keep in mind only one of the depicted horses will be entered. -Must show at least 50% of the participating horse -Must show at least 50% of the rider -Must be colored -Must have a background -Literature entries are acceptable but they must be at least 600 words -Ends on December the 20th Categories: Classic Dressage: This category is hosted in the lush gardens of the ranch.

Exhaustion burned, ached, like a thousand insect bites and summer heat, nothing like Shoshone had ever endured. As a hard playing filly she’d been sore before. Of course, a filly can’t always sleep when she’d like, and keeping up with the herd can be exhausting for any young hooves. This second sunrise crept up the sky, hateful to the captured mare's bleary gaze. Birds songs were no more welcome than dew drawn gnats, and the flies they brought that sought her sweat salted scrapes. Impulse flicked Shoshones dark tail across her haunches without a thought. “Mornin’” Nickered an unfortunately familiar and decidedly odd voice. Lips pulled back in a sneer that threatened violence out of mere reflex, the mare did not gift him her gaze instead throwing her head in response. He huffed out a pride bruised snort before shuffling over to a dew soaked patch of fodder. Shoshone did not recall laying down, though her legs had been so sore, so tired. She woke with grass tickling her nostril, ribs aching just the same as her full bladder. How long had she been sleeping in the grass? Sneezing the thought away, the roan mare sat up and opened her eyes to the beginnings of a brilliant sunrise. Long rays of shadow and sunrays across cloud clusters held promises of pinks, and oranges. She could have watched through the morning hours, if not for bodily demands. "Please, listen, M-Maeve," Gillius whispered tightly, shameless pleading dripping from each stumbling word. "No. No thank you sir. We have all spoken more than enough on the matter. Your mare and you have things to work out, and I wont have my filly in dangers way because of her," the mare spoke with a firm finality even in a whisper, though her next words were nearly muttered, "or frankly yourself. Exhausted Meeting of Heightened Emotions ||CW||

Was a single mare really worth a multitude of days spent fighting? Maybe. The red stud wasn’t so sure when Shoshone woke from her nap with only a renewed fire in her hooves. Every friendly head dip her way earned him a squeal, even half a step too close had her hind hooves spinning his way. Was there really nothing he could do to warm her attentions? The breeze felt irritating to Braylen as the wind whipped up against the cliffs and rocky shore of Brekkathorpe, broken and dilapidated ruins clinging on to their last of their recognizable shapes. Stone and wood were once again overrun by nature, and slowly the man made castles and buildings that once stood tall and proud, were crumbling and falling to mere pieces. The gulls called loudly as they rode the wind, searching for easy meals to snatch up from unsuspecting patrons, the occasional human or dwarf spotted waving their arms to dissuade the birds from grabbing a free meal from them. The golden stag remained unmoved, glaring out at the neverending sea as the flowers that scattered the fields danced. It was peaceful and serene… it wasn’t Braylen’s favorite place to be. He liked the chaos the herd brought, though they were mostly scattered to fill up on sweet grasses. The weather had already started to turn just a few miles into their trek, to which Leland and Finn had a choice. To head back and forget their mission, or push forward no matter the cost. It only took a single glance between them for the other to know what they were thinking. The stags had caught whispers of Rukaan stranded in the snows within the Howling Ranges, trapped in the never ending cycle of blizzards and avalanches. Just Deserts :: Ra : Osprey

Ra was not a Kukuri that stressed in tougher conditions, even when the sun baked him alive in the center of a barren desert, with nothing but hills upon hills of sand and… nothingness. He’d heard the sands moved with the wind, twisting the hills and changing shape. You could spend days traveling in a large circle, and the scenery would have shifted by the time you returned, you’d never know you were in the same place. A death spiral. Despite this impending fear, Ra knew better. He knew not to let the desert send him in a spin, though his silken fur was not the best suited for desert life… it was this time that he envied the sphynx Kukuri that he often saw traversing the sand barrens, the lack of fur making their life far more bearable.
