While browsing the galleries at deviantART I often find authentic pieces of art that just make my jaw drop and my eyes open up like plates. I'm specially attracted to the unusual, to those people that can take a mundane material to create something out of the ordinary, and see potential where others only see the obvious.  Today I realized that it was time to start sharing them, so that you can all join me in a collective "How is that possible!!" and meet talented artists deserving of more recognition.

This morning I found the work of SeanAvery, I don't even remember what was I browsing when this beautiful piece caught my attention. I was immediately drawn by the lovely colors, the fluidity of the feathers and the fact that this sculpture is actually "flying" or hanging.  Before you read it, take a minute to guess what SeanAvery used to make this hummingbird.

Did you guess right? I didn't, I didn't realize those are CDs until I read the description. How is that possible?? :iconcannotevenplz: He manages to create such beautiful sculptures with CD shards, combining the colors and shapes into wonderful unique animals, all of them look like they could just start moving any minute. I'm amazed by his work, the way he creates fur or feathers is incredible, I never managed to make such crisp cuts to CDs.

His work also includes miniature critters made out of hot glue (!!), sculptures using electronic components, and so much more. His sculpture work mainly focuses on creating art with recycled materials, something he calls "Sustainable Art". I have seen lots of people using recycled materials, but no one to the level of SeanAvery.

I'm very much in love with all his work  I hope that you liked it too and that it inspired you as much as it inspired me.
