this was really smart xD i love how clay artists can be so resourceful to achieve that realistic effect on the pieces they make  (i don't know what you're technically called :D)

This is really great, I have never considered baking clay and then cutting/shaping it but this method looks incredible, I'll definitely give it a try!

You can get a lot of interesting effects if you bake the clay first, it's a good resource to keep in mind :) I hope it works for you too!
