I like the earthy palette and the textures here. You're good at defining form, but consider studying lines of action to improve the clarity of each pose. Panel composition is really nice, nothing reads as flat to me.

I think one thing I'd like to see in the presentation on Deviantart are links to previous, next, and first pages. Even though you want people to go to the website instead, some of your readers may prefer Deviantart since it delivers each page to their inboxes. :)

Thanks for the commentary. Now this is what I like to hear on dA. :3 I hear you about lines of action. I've actually felt myself struggling with that while I was working on this, and you're right, it needs work. I've drawn my tikedi many many times, and I've played with different poses, but nothing so deliberate as I find that I'm facing in this comic. There's a huge difference between drawing a pose that conveys an emotion or a mood like I do in my stand alone art, and drawing a pose that actually follows the narrative. For example, in a lot of my sketches I find it easy to draw a character in an action pose if I want that feeling of motion, but getting just the right action pose here, one that makes sense given what the character was doing before and what they're about to do... whole other ballgame, I find. There's a page not too much further on that I know I'll have to come back and redo someday when I have a better handle on this. Jahrd is standing in a doorway and then turns around to talk to someone, and with the weird tikedi odd-jointed legs and all, it was a real mind bender to draw that pose where he's turning. Showing that action clearly was difficult and even now that it's finished I don't think I came quite close enough to getting it right.

These definitely won't be the final versions of these pages, I'm sure. I'm still very much learning how to think my way through sequential art. But man do I appreciate the feedback there. I'll keep it in mind. :3

As for the next and previous links.... all I can say is durr to myself. I don't know why that never occurred to me. You're exactly right. That would make things a heck of a lot easier. I'll implement those ASAP. Thanks!

Eee. I was happy with this page, too. Watercolors just have so much transparency to them. The effects are nifty when you're trying to make an artsy mess. =P

I don't suppose his lower hand is hiding the fact that he shat himself, is it? :giggle:

Ewww, Nish. XP It's possible, but I'm not asking him.

I'm not sure many people *wouldn't* have some form of loose bowels if they saw their parent/friend/whoever suddenly turned into meatloaf three feet away. :3

Well you've got me there. =P Poor Jahrd. Scared and stinky when he eventually gets home.

Yeah, the thing about not having darker fur is that everything shows. :D Man, that must suck.

Eeew, no kidding. And in the desert? Hoping the village is situated near water and he doesn't just go diving in and ticking everyone off. XP
