Asari airdrop excercise by Taleeze Asari airdrop excercise by Taleeze
This piece I made just for fun a while ago, no particular story behind it. This is how I imagine a couple of commandos exercising airdrops, using their biotics only. The idea was what made me create the biotic bubble model, I think.

This is one of the reasons I say humans are the Mary Sue's of the ME universe, they shouldn't ever have the level of mastery of biotics that asari and krogan due simply to the lifespan issue.  It's like comparing a human mage with a high elf mage one is just going to outclass the other... well unless they are a lich perhaps.

!! Other than Asari and Krogans, Humans have to use biotic amps - so basically our rather weak biotics get "powered up". DON'T ask me why the other races don't use these amps, tho.

Oh, he, yes, I had the same thoughts. You can see that it's a human centric game. I wish and I hope that horizon gets widened for ME4 and maybe (hopefully) we get to chose more species.

Fun action shot. :)

(Re: parachutes, given the degree of tech miniaturisation we see, I imagine it's quite possible a single-use emergency 'grav chute' could be small enough to fit into a suit without being obvious from the outside.)

I guess others do have elevation devices in their heavier suits, like the devices they use to drop into battle zones on multiplayer or some thing. But asari can as well use their biotics and don't need the bulky suits.

Not even a parachute as backup, just in case? Though I guess you'd have to use it before you knew how your biotics would do...

Either way! They're pretty confident to make that jump

I assume in training they start small, just like paratroopers in training. after a couple of decades I would think they know what they are doing.

Decades?! Holy crap
That seems like a LONG time for one thing! Dedication.

They serve for a couple of centuries... so I would think they get a lot of routine with this stuff after a  while

I guess when they are well trained, they can float down as they wish. Just like Samara does.
