Dark-matroyskas-1

These are handpainted matroyskas of the darker kind.
I made them using transparent felt-tipped pens, colour pencils and waterpaint. They are quite hard to photograph but this is my first attemp.

From left to right; The Brosno swamp monster from Kiev, Napoleon Bonaparte, Baba Yaga. Koschei the Deathless, Anastasia (who was killed by communists yet appeared later in Paris, none the worse for wear), Rasputin, grand duke Ivar the Boyarkiller
