Clairibelle 17068 has found Czerno 4250 alone in Aippaq's Garden and has decided to protect (and slobber over) him.
The sand roan female didn't think she'd ever been so peaceful and happy in her life as she made her way back home. Her albino buck trotted along behind her, his little tail wagging happily. Clairibelle smiled warmly at him, turning her attention onto the trail before her once more. They'd managed to free the spirits and revive the land once more. They had come a long way to go to get home and had already been travelling for quite some time. They'd managed to make their way into Aippaq's Garden, leaving the Taniya Mountains behind. They were nearly home, reaching the outskirts of the Taniya Mountains, when Clairibelle heard the cry. Immediately, she stopped in her tracks, maternal instincts kicking in. The cry came again and she charged forwards to investigate, her albino buck leaping after her.
What she found was a small black pup, and one she recognized. His name was Czerno. What was he doing out here!? The little pup must have given his mother the slip and came out to explore. Clairibelle sighed softly and sympathetically as his terrified yelping reached her ears. “There there, little one. It's alright.” The motherly female cooed as she approached him. He lifted his head, ears pricking as he recognized her. Yelping happily, he scampered over to her, rubbing against her legs like a little cat. Clairibelle laughed softly, dipping her head and licking at him affectionately. She lowered herself to the ground and Czerno scrambled onto her forelegs, whimpering happily. She didn't know how he had gotten out here, but she definitely wasn't leaving him. His mother was probably already searching for him and they would likely find her before too long. For the moment though, she was focused on getting him calmed down and making sure that he was okay. He had a couple scrapes, but nothing that looked to be too serious. She licked them clean and they weren't bleeding any more, so that was a good sign.
After a few minutes Czerno calmed down and stopped whining, instead just blinking up at her with groggy adoration. She was his hero! “Alright big guy, let's go home.” Clairibelle rose to her feet, lowering her head and gently grabbing the black pup by the scruff. Instinctively, his paws curled up to make himself easier to carry and keep from hitting anything on the ground. Glancing to make sure that her albino buck was following, she made her way back towards home. She really hoped that it wouldn't be long before they found Czerno’s mother. She didn't mind watching over the pup, but his poor mother was likely having a nervous breakdown. Clairibelle still assumed that she was nearby, searching for him. Her assumptions proved to be correct as Czerno's hysterical mother came into view not long later. Clairibelle handed the little one over, accepting the thanks that she was given graciously. She hadn't done anything so grand!
Who would have been cruel enough to leave a pup out in the wilderness, especially one as cute as Czerno?

Clairibelle could feel in her gut that something was wrong when she set out that day. There was no animals in sight. The foliage around her was wilting. It was very unusual and she knew for sure then that something was definitely amiss. She decided to make an attempt at figuring out what was going on. Her albino buck trailed behind her, faithful as ever. Nervousness rippled through the long mane’s body as she made her way towards the Taniya Mountains. She wasn't really sure what told her to go there. A gut feeling, she supposed? She could tell that the albino buck was nervous as well. He kept close to her, round ears swivelled backwards with unease. “We have to figure out what's going on.” She said, more to herself than him.
The air had suddenly grown rather cold. Clairibelle shuddered against the chill, ears pinning against her skull as she fought back panic. She couldn't see them, but she could feel the dark presences that surrounded her and her companion. The a
