Dire Days Task 1 Bonus-Mountain LionArcher set out of camp at a brisk pace on Kanel’s back, riding the sleepy curly down a slight incline. He had just gotten into camp the other day and was eager to head out and explore the area. Archer had gotten up early as usual, but was pleasantly surprised to find that there were a few other handlers who also rose that early in the morning. After a cup of coffee, he had set out on Kanel’s back. A few different people had recommended one of the mountain ridges to travel along for a nice scenic hike, so he guided Kanel in that direction. The morning was chilly, and air chilled from the glacial valley swept past him and up the gentle slope. Archer hunched his shoulders, moving in the direction of the ridge. Kanel moved up the slope, picking his way around the large stones that littered the side of the mountain. As the wind gusted, it blew snow into Archer’s back and Kanel’s rump, prompting the cream colored curly tokota to move slightly faster, wanting to get up
Moose Hunt with Kasa 1It was fairly early that morning when Diego awoke. Not because there had been any unpleasant surprises or anything like it, but out of sheer anticipation. He was very excited for what was in store today. Diego had gotten a call from Archer, asking to go for another hunt together. Having nothing planned during the time, Diego happily agreed, suggesting they go for a Moose hunt as he had heard there was a herd in the area. He tried to delay his earliness by doing his morning routine as slow as possible, and double checking the saddlebags many times. As he was still even to early to go prepare his Tokotas, he decided he’d just spend more time brushing Sky today.
He spent a great deal of time in the barn, petting his Tokotas, giving them treats when they stuck their heads out their stall doors.
Diego proceeded by preparing his dear longmane girl, Sky, thoroughly. She enjoyed his attention very much, whining a reply when he spoke with her, trying to lick his face occasionally, but rem
Mountain Lion Hunt with KasaArcher stretched and got up from the kitchen table, washing his dirty plate in the sink before walking out the front door to the barn. He had recently expanded it to encompass his now numerous pack of tokotas, and was still getting used to the unpainted sight of lightish wood against the faded red paint of the rest of the barn. Archer shoved one of the barn doors open before strolling through, giving the occasional pat on the nose of whatever tokota stuck their head through their stall door. He stopped at Jackdaw’s stall, patting the large black tokota on his nose before gripping his halter and leading him into the center of the barn. He stood patiently as Archer brushed his dark fur down before walking into the tack room and retrieving his saddle blanket, saddle, and reins, making small sounds and yips as Archer moved around. He tossed the saddle blanket over his back before putting the saddle carefully on top of it, not wanting the full weight to come down on Jackdaw’s ba
Moose Hunt with Hira 1The sun was high in the sky as Tendaji set out lazily while riding a heavy set piebald. The male was reluctant towards any form of exercise and letting out the occasional deep sigh to display his complaint. The lioness had agreed to meeting Archer in the middle of the woods and looked around carefully at the supposed meeting spot. She could identify two twin rocks, a snow capped mountain to the east and a plethora of snowdrops as described before when they agreed on where to meet. She leaned back slightly on Vem’s back as she spotted Hufflepuff dragged half the forest with him in his fur and the van gogh that was following shortly behind him with a very concerned expression at Tendaji that had been ‘stolen away’ by the rather broad piebald and let out a scoff to display how displeased she was. “No worries, Minnie, you’ll soon be seeing a few friends again. Won’t that be fun?” The lioness purred as she leaned over to pat the yeti once he w
Fishing Collab with Hira 4It was a lovely sunny day up in the mountains as the lazy feline leaned back with a bored expression on her features. She had been tasked with babysitting two tokotas for her employer, Snowball and Delthera, and had agreed to meet with a certain white tabby later on in the day. She flicked her wrist however to glance at her watch with an annoyed look, according to herself he was ‘late’ although they didn’t have a set time for meeting. She glanced up at the clear skies instead and shut her eyes to enjoy the peace while it lasted. To her annoyance Snowball had fished up a strange silver looking fish and was now attempting to impress the brown female with it but unfortunately just confused her as she stared with a concerned look and a low whimper.
Archer urged Kras into a run, moving quickly over the landscape with the two roan piebalds keeping a good distance between them. Tendaji’s suggestion to meet by the stream had been accompanied by a vague time, so Archer w
