Hunting-Aeresella (40/40), Awi by taikunfoo Hunting-Aeresella (40/40), Awi by taikunfoo
Still happy with finding the fox in the area, though concerned about having two muddy tokotas on his hands, Archer carefully guided Awi and Aeresella around the stones in the hope of finding another fox to bring back with them. Awi stopped and sniffed around a few holes while Aeresella padded off around a large boulder, head low to the ground. They looked through the area for an hour or so until Awi started to become bored and distracted with sniffing around muddy holes. Aeresella was still interested in looking for foxes and stuck her head in just about any hole in the rock she could find. Archer called her over to him, and she trotted over with some reluctance, casting a glance behind her at the series of small holes in the rock. Archer, Awi, and Aeresella began to make their way down the small hill when a fox poked it's head up further down the trail. Aeresella lunged forward and darted towards the fox, who quickly darted down a hole. Awi slid to a stop behind Aeresella, paws sliding on the mud as he tried to stop his forward momentum. Both tokotas sniffed around the hole, waiting for the fox to appear again. Archer looked over his shoulder to see the fox slipping out of a hole behind them and streaking down the hill. Archer swung Awi around and directed the tokota to chase after it, and Aeresella quickly followed behind, drawing close to and passing Awi as the two tokotas chased the fox down the hill. Awi lunged at the fox in an attempt to pounce on it, but the fox darted through his outstretched paws and straight towards Aeresella. She caught the fox with a quick movement before it could realize it's mistake, and slowed to a trot with the fox dangling from her mouth. Awi padded over and sniffed at it, content with the catch. Feeling tired after a long day and noticing the sun's gradual descent through the sky, he directed both tokotas back towards his friend's house, as Archer had to drop her off before heading home. The group headed down the hill and back towards his friend's house uneventfully, though Archer let the tokotas run most of the way to the house to let them burn off any excess energy they still had despite the long day. He was able to return Aeresella without too much trouble before heading back to his house, thankful that Awi still had a relatively clean coat despite their trek through the muddy area earlier in the day.
